fitting new stereo

Hi I'm in the process of fitting a stereo and amplifier to my multipla but I've spent maybe an hour trying to find a suitable "hole" to pass the positive cable from the boot to the battery, without success! There does not seem to be much space under the dashboard nor suitable places to pass cable through. Has anyone tried who can help?
