I want to carry out my own oil changes can anyone help with oil type, filters i need etc?

Do I need to change any fuel filters?

Asda are doin 5ltrs Castrol GTX Diesel oil for 15quid is this suitable?

If your car is on 12000 service intervals then every 12months or 12000mile change the following oil(yes that oil is fine)oil filter fuel filter air filter and pollen filter and sump bung washer. Brake fliud every two years.
