I think I'm right in placing Santa Pod in the Midlands. Of course the Midlands now includes Wales and some parts of Scotland I believe....... :D

Anyway, I'm trying to organise a stand at the Retro Show at Santa Pod - thread is here

It's not a substitute for an MI meat, but some of the MI'ers might be interested in going?

Cheers, Gavin. (y)

Hi Charlie,

Yes it's not bad - across the other side of Milton Keynes towards Wellingborough. It's about 1hr 40mins from me (Risborough) so probably as quick from Oxford way. (y)

Definitely! It's a run what ya brung day, so you can pay to race down the drag strip! During the day there are strip sessions ( you know what I mean), and everything you can imagine races down there. Lots of the retro cars go down, there's modded stuff, and usually the jet car (cover your ears, even the ground shakes!). Last time I went they had a monster truck, and even drifting cars giving rides round. It's a big event.

One word of warning, they can't do the drag strip if it's too wet. Not that we ever have wet days

Cheers, Gavin.
