Go here; and click the "New Thread" button on the left-hand side, above the list of threads... -- making sure you pick "Punto (Mk2/2b) as the prefix, when you set it up (and add a meaningful title...).

Hey guys I now this thread has kinda died but just wanted to update you on 'project punto' I have fitted the pipecross air filter and to say the least it is pritty bad ass! I have all the interior LEDs just waiting for time to fit them, next stage is to find a back box and to fit the carbon fiber wrap. Any suggestions on a back box? And are any of you interested in a meet and a pint?

Might have to attend the next meet to return your cables I would now but mot is round the corner, need to put an order on a vag com lead. Yep been busy not had chancd

Besides, being all well with mot , might be a new addition to my mk2 that should boost its appearance

now the Xmas + New Year period is over,
floods permitting it would be great to organise a few more meets,

locations I'm thinking of,

West Bromwich / West Midlands
big retail park = excellent road links , and easy food + drink.

Forest of Dean,
nice driving roads ( A40) from M5,
"forest park" area burger's / snacks / drinks.. better photo opp's. AND convenient for the "Wales group" to join us ( (A48..??),

maybe another visit to "A Heritage Centre", not so weather dependent


I'm also planning to organise something in the early summer around the Swindon area, as there are so many FIAT dealers / FF members on the "fringes" of the various regions, and with the M4 linking it all so well, we should get a good crowd,

let me know where/ when you would like to go places,

Now this is why I stopped attending ,meets always take place far from home. So its effort for a few hours I'm afraid. Which is disappointing...so I'm no longer an attendee!

Simple solution - organise one close to you, but of course that will require a bit of effort too. So the choice is yours:

1. organise a meet to suit you
2. travel to someone elses meet
3. Don't attend any meets and don't moan about it.

I for one am not going to organise a meet to suit your particular requirements, only mine . And I'm pretty sure no one else will either. We will however do our best to help you once you've taken the plunge

"Take your point.." but so far( AFAIK) we've done,
Coventry,
Leicester,
Milton Keynes, and ( soon) Coventry..,

If you live in OTHER parts of the midlands..you've done well to attend :devil:

Stilo Gareth, and Sweex have covered some distance to attend,
along with CLS, and DOM of course, MEP too,

Coventry is 2.5 hours away for me..but I'll still be there,

if we make it a 1 hour journey for some once a year.. they may well feel it's worth travelling a bit further to the next meet,
if everyting is 2.5 hours away they won't bother..

Look I ain't trying to be an ass or anything just saying it how it is for me as a person I've done two years of meets that's enough for me. Maybe I might attend in the new car who knows. Eitherway I agree try and make less distant for people like you say once in a while makes it more inviting

Whilst I respect that, I'm just helping throwing ideas in not to **** on someone's meet

At the moment I have far more important stuff to be taking care off other than fiat stuff. If things die down maybe I might take the scrooge hat off

Get something planned for next month anyway I need to attend one to return Homeys cables

I'm still liking my idea of Teybarns in cov. Bloody brilliant in there and a massive car park? I'm also liking an idea of a photo opportunity in a multi story car park. But that would only be good if there were a lot of us!

Yeah I'm up for that ....... I'ld love to try my hand at a few moody car park shots with my Camera

I know of a couple of multi story ones in the centre of coventry

with the punto meet in 2 weeks,( coventry)

I would rather go elsewhere for a few months..,
