I'm happy to organise another Oxfordshire based meet,
as there are a few of us "locals" who'll almost certainly attend, :D

Gaydon..not too sure..?? not a B.L. person:eek:

Prodrive = Very good, (y)
if @scout , can talk nicely to Mrs Osborne ;)

I'd still like to see a WEST Midlands event..,
BUT I'm not local enough to organise it..:(

don't wanna get 17 FIATS lost like in Monmouth

MEP made the "Burton Dasset" area sound great..
just need a food venue locally ;)

Charlie

before homey and I settle on an Oxfordshire meet ( again),

Go back to when I was a kid and Britain made some of the best cars. Went downhill in the '70's and never really recovered.

Fair play to you but I was born in 1976. Some of my favourite cars were from the eighties. I do like cars like the mini but prefer the original 500. Im a big fan of Fords which were basically British at that time.

When are we thinking for the next meet? Feels like ages since I've seen everyone, hopefully see some of you at stanford. I'm up for a meet soon after that are maybe even before if we can sort it? Although saying I'm on my hols from the 13th to the 20th

Sam

Wasnt that long ago Sam,Stanford isnt far away and I will be there. Maybe it would be better to wait until after Stanford and Mitcar because both of those are in our area.

Ford was better in the '70's their 4 speed gearboxes were great, went downhill when they went to 5 speed boxes (Mk3 Escort ;) ) .

Who wouldn't love a TR6, e-type Jag, Jag MkII, Triumph GT6, Triumph Stag, Morgan, Mini Cooper, Sunbeam Alpine, Lotus Elan, Austin Healey, Healey 3000 and Jensen Intercepter? Too name a few.

In that order:

Ok, no, yes, yes, yes, no, yes, yes, yes, ok, ok, yes. Never have got E-Types (shock horror - I'd rather have an XJS and use the change for a load of 70's & '80's tat) although I appreciate the engineering (and would like to have one to sell), and the Morgan is anathema to me to be honest.

Are we still on topic? (y)

12 answers - I started with ok (being I wouldn't mind but not going to kill to get one), via (no, don't want one but it would be good to sell), and yes (being it's got a place in my 200 car barn!). ;)

Was the stag '60's - I thought it went on sale in 1970, and as you chose the Cooper I've let you have the 1959 Mini ;)
