Inside tho its an absolute picture.... No its not fake snow sprayed on the steering wheel to try and bring about a bit of a festive feeling within the car.... its actually deadly mould (y) :yum:
Mould004.jpg

Oh i don't know, if the devil lives down there, you may just give him the tools to rise to the earths face and rule us all in fear and in darkness for the next millennium, then again on second thoughts they would probably break down just past the mantle so we are all safe

I'm sure the  has more glam transport than a mouldy cinq and a scabby broken down rusty uno start with kfc, burger king and sainsburys sandwich packaging on the dash...:)

Sad pictures.

You need to get rid of all the mouldy parts, IME it never cleans and is actually quite hazardous to health.

I'd get the car somewhere dry since it'll be the sudden cold snap that has caused the mould then get the boot area stripped and resealed.

Ewwww that look's very tasty, Liam's right, get rid of them parts, and get them incinerated. You don't seem to be having much luck car wise at the moment, I recommend a plastic childs car, less to go wrong ;)

You can wash it out, its not much of a biggy really just time consuming, classic beetle does that every year over the winter months sat in the garage at home but it washes out. It does mess your leather bit up good and proper though, i now need a new sterring wheel for my bug but i didn't like the one it had anyway, bringing back an original if i can find a good one for cheap.

edit: As your car is stripped why not go the whole hog and remove all the carpets, thats the hard bit anyway. I think i'll pull them all out my beetle next time its cleaned and keep them in the house.

cinqs get mould pretty good!!!!

the shear amount of mould I've seen in scrapped cinqs is a joke.

And no it doesn't ever really wash out, hence why it keeps coming back. it will always smell and feel weird.

and on the mottled plastics its a joke!!! tis worst than fine dust.

bleach the lot (bleach bomb in car, shut door, run, problem solved!)!)

me too!! mould seems to like eating the leather on sporting steering wheels and gearknobs.

getting rid of the spores will be virtually impossible. if you keep it dry it wont mould, but the spores will always be there waiting for damp conditions.

well i have brand new steering wheel and gear lever so thats ok... i'll take the seats out and maybe try and dry clean them,
and then just have to dry out interior and spray anti fungi stuff in the car (n)

its that or re-shell... which would be a mission

The thing is with Cinqs dampness goes for the leather steering wheel and gearknob and degrades it so with this mould eugh, think if you washed it then drove and wiped your mouyh with your mouldy hand god knows what could happen!
