And the icing on the cake...

Beating a 2.0 Litre chavv'd up Cav at Ultimate Street Car :D

@ Helz,

Was starting to loose faith, had 3 runs down the strip, first was against a Skyline, second against a Scooby, the third was against the Cav. I had to make the last run count no way was I getting beat by a Chav...my heart was pounding, what an experience...don't think he was expecting to lose.

Not bad for a 1.6, lol.

@ Ste,

Love the colour myself, considering it's a factory colour it's really nice, changes shades depending on light sometimes it's bronze, others it's really orange...just looks the part :D

Thanks for the comments, another pic...apologies for the quality was taken on my phone:

As you can see there's another Bravo, that's Nicks from Drive-By...stay tuned as were organising a photo shoot for both cars and plenty of mods planned for both cars in the next few months.

do you find yourself wishing it was an HLX? :p

Funny thing is I originally got the car off my dad, when he first bought it I liked it but didn't fall in love. Horrible granny style interior didn't help but as soon as I drove it I knew it had a lot of potential, is a really nippy car and has aged well...the Bravo still looks nicer than a lot of the newer cars.

Regarding the HLX comment, tbh there's not much difference between the SX and the HLX in the performance department.

1.6 SX

BHP: 103
Top Speed: 114
0-60:11.0
MPG: 37.2
Insurance Group: 7

1.8 HLX\GT

BHP: 113
Top Speed: 120
0-60: 10.0
MPG: 36.3
Insurance Group: 9

After the mod's it's probably slighty quicker than the 1.8 varient. Interior trim isn't a factor as it's all getting replaced anyway, so it's a catch twenty two. What I would love is a HGT, but fingers crossed it'll be getting a Coupe lump dropped into it after Xmas :D

Bit of an Update, started on my ICE:

Again, apologies for the poor pic...I should really start carrying round a digi cam.

Anyway it's an All-In-One DVD\MP3\DABS unit with 7" motorised screen, tight squeeze to get the thing in but eventually got it to fit and managed to bypass the 'safety feature' which prevents the screen from displaying a picture when the cars in motion by tapping into the existing headunits live power supply.

nice ride mate! i m curious to know what are the engine mods you have done to your bravo as i have read somewhere in the postings that you ran against a scooby, skyline and a cav!

i am planning to do a coupe 16/20vt conversion on my 1.6sx. has anyone done that before over on your side? would appreciate some feedback on pros and cons about this conversion.

cheers!

Cheers for the comments :)

@blu73

I did indeed run against a Scooby and a Skyline, they ate me for breakfast. The Scooby was running NOS plus some other goodies, such as a bigger turbo etc...and boi did it shift the Skyline was no slouch either. As for the Cav it was a 2.0 Litre 8V, my Bravo saw it off no problem.

Plenty of people have done the Coupe conversion but not sure if it's ever been done on a 1.6 in this country, from what I've read on various sites it seems to be done on the 1.8 or 2 Litre

It will of been done on a 1.6 after Xmas though as I'm dropping a Coupe lump in.

As for engine\performance mods, currently all I've had done is full cat-back system, re-map, cold feed induction and upgraded spark plugs and leads.

It's not quick quick but it's nippy compared to similiar engined cars.
