Ritmo/Strada Strada with a kick

Introduction

s_16vt_fq2.jpg

This is a strada with a kick, it's powered by a Fiat 2.0L 16V turbo engine packing about 200hp and 240 lb/ft torque. To say that it's rapid would be an understatement.

needs a new light, are they hard to get hold of?

Definate sleeper...shame they rust so badly!

I was assuming that was intentional to let the turbo breath some fresh air?

Just drive behind him Ryan and you'll always see the back!

Awesome machine, I can imagine the looks on the faces of boy racers when you waste them with that!

Im going to show my age a bit now, but I test drove a mint black one from a dealership 19 years ago and fell in love with it!!!--I didnt have enough money to buy it but the test drive was mega!!
I also used to know a guy in Bradford who had a restored one sitting on axle stands completely waxoiled and polished just waiting for a buyer-----
well done top job and good to see something different around!!:slayer:

yup a strada 130 abarth would keep me very happy for a very long time!!!

there seems to be more and more of them coming out of the woodwork now as they are generating more appeal!!

In Scotland there is only 3 left which are known of. More may be lingering in garages but these are unlikely to be anything other than parts or expensive restoration jobs. Most likely they will end up in the bin after giving up parts.

That only leaves about 45 in England which are registared as on the road. There may be up to 50 in an off the road state but as each year passes the number reduces and good cars get harder to find pushing the price up. All very good news for existing owners,.

You can see this happening but in a more advanced state with 131 Sports and even 131 Abarths. Just a few years ago (when the value had bottomed out) you could buy a 131 Abarth for 5K-6K, now your looking at more like 12K to 15K. Not bad for a few years. I wish now that I had gone all out and bought a 131 Abarth a few years ago. I might even still consider buying one now as the price will just keep rising on good cars. Compare the price to a mk1 Escort and the 131 Abarth is still a bargain, but don't wait too long as they are catching up.

I really love the older fiats!

i read on a E-BAY ad for a red one that clarkson claimed that them fiats are BETTER than the MK1 golf GTI?

that is absolutely stunning i have to say!! only thing thats worrying me is the wholes in the seats! what are they for? :chin: lol look nice and hugging!
Mint car. (y)
Never liked older cars until Brooklands, Fiat 600 abarth, and blue 124 has now got me loving them! :yum:
