It does seem a little high...
..so..
...got a set of 45mm drop bilsteins sitting on the diesel tipo waiting to go across.

Very tidy for an old beastie, nice to see some old motors.
My only comment is I don't think the rims suit it.

Well thats what it had on when I bought it. Can't afford a set of originals.. or any other 15" alloys atm. They could do with being thicker you think? Tipo's arn't dainty little things so beefy looking alloys?

It was very dark when I took the photos - especially compared to the height of the summer when I took the others!
And yes, that is rust on the rear wheel arch. Already got a quote of £100 a side for having the arches stripped down, welded up and sprayed and sealed.
Didn't go for the coupe alloys then! the punto alloys look pretty good though.
the silver alloys looked better IMO... but hey... it's not my car

Cheers! Can't always please everyone but I love the way they blend the front and rear bumpers into the side skirt.
Indeed they are original Tipo 16v wheels (donated by a very nice chap not a million miles from this post).
Next job is painting the calipers and the side skirts/bumper trim back to the same shade of red as the Abarth centre caps.

Well i love it, and i definately agree with what you say about the wheels blending in with the bumpers, what other colour goes better with white than black huh :slayer:

ahh the old tipo, still quite like them and a 2.0 would be pretty quick too.
Does yours have that thing on the dash that tells you if doors and boot are open? Just I know a guy who used to have an immaculate burgandy met one (I think it was a later diesel) and the lights used to just randomly come on, so he took the bulbs out
