Hi
This is my first Fiat, she's a 51plate 1.9TD Ducato Motorhome. We've had her about a year now ( definitely a girl ), and is our only transport.
I've read lots about immobiliser problems but none the same as our current problem. Basically will start every time from cold, but when hot there is an intermittent problem with the code light staying on. Have to wait till it goes off before she will start.
My question to all you more experienced guys is this - where is the OBD socket, I cannot find one. Also would it be silly to think the problem lies with the crank sensor ? is that in the immobiliser system ? I've traced the wiring from the pump unto the bulk head with no obvious damage/cuts / corrosion.

Any thoughts or insight would be very welcome :)

Probably a bad solder joint in the circuit on the pump, its not uncommon for them to fail leaving you stranded. I would be to bypass its and fit a third party immobiliser.

Thanks for that, next question- how to by-pass immobiliser ? is it a case of striping off plate covering electrics at pump ?
