We have a 2004 2.8 JTD motor home. After battery getting low on charge we jump started her and went for two hour drive. During the drive the immobilizer flight came on intermittently. When we stopped it wouldn't 're start. The immobilized light doesn't come on at all now and she won't start at all. Pressed fuel reset but no effect and no reset button on battery. Help please.

Your ducato is the second generation model and if it is after 2002 will be the HDI version.
These engines are very reliable and pull well with good M.P.G.
When jumping a vehicle from another vehicle you run the risk of spiking your ECU that's why auto techs use jump packs.
Modern vehicles security systems are built into the ECU of the vehicle and cause problems when faulty.
I suggest you contact an ECU specialist via google search to test the unit and completely remove the security system from the ECU, you can then fit an after market security system you can remove yourself in the future.

I would see if I can read the codes with multiecuscan / alfaobd and rule out wiring, fuses etc before jumping to conclusions about dead ecus mostly the risk of spiking ecus is related to smart charge alternators and the EDC15 is a resilient beast. Its far more lightly to be ignitions switch / wiring /fuses / corrosion etc.

Firstly.
Are the other lights and gauges coming on and going off as normal when you turn on/off the ignition on the instrument panel?

Check F37, F53

Check that you have 12v on the blue wire from the ignition when the ignition is on.

Remove the plastic cowl under the steering column, remove the connector from the grey code unit and check for corrosion, clean and refit.

Both fuses fine. Is it the panel with four screws I need to remove. One screw just turns but doesn't undo. Might have to force it. Thanks for your help

Yes panel with four screws, if you remove the other 3, then pull down gently on the panel while unscrewing the fourth it should come out.

If other lights are fine check fuse F18 7.5A this supplies 12V to the code unit.

On the code unit connector there should be 12v on grey/blue wire.

Fuse fine, code unit connector clean. What else could stop immoboliser light coming on? No sign of anything coming from exhaust when engine turned over and no lift pump sound. Have pressed fuel reset. There's no reset button on battery.

Have you checked the voltages?
