Hi all!

First post on here!

Just wondering what you guys might think about this. I have a 54 plate Fiat Panda with the semi automatic gearbox. It broke down and it bought up a P1220 error code using a DTC scanner. The code suggested the throttle position sensor was toast. Opened up the sensor and found this scratch in side (in the attatchment) and was wondering if that had something to do with it? Was it shipped with this scratch or did it happen over time or? Bit puzzling and thought what you guys might think! New sensor is on its way, just wanted to open it up and see what's inside!

Thanks all! :)

If could be a tracking mark in the plastic which has caused the failure. Its allowing current to short the two points.
