I took the center lower part of the dash off from under the gear stick, witch is only about 6 screws, and the small plastic panel by the clutch pedal, then if you lay on the floor an look up behind the dash your see this.

There is a small electric motor with a cog on it, the cog faces away from you as you look up at it.. Its where you can see the bright light in the top left corner of this picture. (just to give you a better idea of where it is.)

Its held in place by two really odd shaped bolts (at least on my car) and one position indicator stalk.
Once its removed it looks like this,

The little black piece of plastic on the right side of the motor thing is the bit that is snapped off the heater unit (the 988 part.).

It would usually be attached to the heater unit and the electric motor would turn it.

I 'fixed' it by cutting the end off a screw driver and gluing it into the motor, then using a soldering iron with a flat blade to make a slot in the heater unit.

This is where the slot needs to be, I painted it white so I could use a black marker on the screw driver tip to know the angle of the slot I need to make.

I am not a mechanic and don't know any technical words, but i hope this helps.

I have a dynamic grill you can have, came off my silver panda as I like the active grill. Just pay postage and you can have it.

Re: Elepanza

T-cuted off the scratches on my phones camera lens, so heres some better pictures.

My light covers

I don't think a grill would fit anymore with the light bracket, without cutting it up a lot.

Thanks for your help! I might contact the scrappy about that red one, good find

It is rather! Responsive, plenty powerful enough for getting around with, makes a good noise, and capable of pretty good economy if driven correctly.

Well i'd take it back
Heats never going to come on without it.

Obviously someone has found the problem an started fixing it, then sold it to the dealer or auctioned it.

I doubt the dealer would have noticed.. I am sure they wouldn't have knowingly sold it like that.

Re: Elepanza

Changed the light bulbs in my spot lights to LED

The 'high beam' light doesn't seem very bright... so if you know of any good LED headlight or fog light bulbs please let me know.

Also spent about 3 hours customizing my Panda seat runners to take my drivers seat as the seats I bought had bent runners and wouldn't slide.
An the panda runners left the seat about 3inches higher then it should be, So all I could see was the rear view mirror and the edge of the roof.

Re: Elepanza

Not all done yet, need to cut/get smaller rear bump stops, need some new brake lines too as one snapped and I am going to replace the flexies as they are looking a bit past it.
Got new flexies to go on the front, front height needs raising to match the back.
But it fits pretty well, I am happy with how far it brings the wheels out.

Also please check under your bump stops!! One of the bump stop mounts has totally rotted out under the stop, so I need to get a plate done for that.
