Oh dear oh dear oh dear,
Well,it started with a water noise within the dashboard(like water running through pipes back and forth) every time I revved so I did some internet searching and it came up with head gasket? I'm not sure but today I took off the oil cap and it's covered in thick yellowish goo. Anyone know what I'm dealing with?

Bleed the coolant system to get rid of the gurgling.
Are you doing a lot of short trips.
Condensation forms inside the motor until it reaches about 70 C. It then takes a while to drive all the water out of the sump.

It probably IS the head gasket and it probably IS something to worry about.

As stated above, clean the cap, top up the coolant while bleeding the system, and see if the symptoms return. Also check the dipstick oil for signs of contamination, and look for steam in the exhaust.

But also get a compression test done, this is the easiest diiagnostic for the HG. If you replace it before the engine fails big-time it should be straightforward and reasonably cheap.

second this, a compression test is advisable to really be sure.

Here's a easy way to tell if its head gasket.
blead the heating to get rid of the air in there, run the car a few days if the rushing water noise comes back its head gasket time.
just don't leave it a year like i did or the leak will nacker the head.
though there's lodes of these in the scrap yards now, and its a easy job.

the MAYO is a sign of moisture/fluid mixing with the oil..

there has been ZERO mention of coolant levels dropping..,

so what are you hoping to find with the system test..??

i got a punto that doesnt have that much power till it warms up, probably hg, coolant level went from max to mix in around 6000km, changed antifreeze and topped to max on 7.6.2016 and it was on low about a month ago

True, but the original post he mentioned he thought it may be the HG, a compression test is fairly quick to do and would put his mind at ease on that. Yes Mayo COULD be down to condensation from short trips, BUT it could also be a sign of a more serious problem. IF his HG has gone and he continues driving it, then it will knack the head
