Cinquecento Hensey's 1386 16v build

Introduction

Some may or may not know my 1242 8v Schumacher seicento build thread here:
https://www.fiatforum.com/showthread.php?t=428240

But anyway I been lusting for a Cinq for a very long time and a good friend of mine decided it was time to get rid off his so I couldn't say no for the price
Spec at the min from what previous owner has told me is
P75 engine (inlet manifold is broken so if anyone has a spare lying around give me a pm)
P55 six speed gearbox
Comp m05s
Lowered 40mm
Pollybushed here and there have found the rear trailing arm and tbelt engine mount bushes in the boot
Pgt brakes all round with drilled and groved discs
Omp steering wheel and maybe an omp boss
Yellow Lockwood cluster faces
Full supersprint exhaust system including super sprint 4-2-1 manifold
Meant to have a 40mm tb haven't checked this yet

And maybe a few other bits and bobs I've missed or I haven't found yet

Currently the heads off the engine it come with every thing to refit but some how the inlet manifold has been broken so I need for find one or another head with one and needs the rear callipers re fitting the are brand new in a box in the boot i've looked all over and the only rot I can find is in the wheel arches

So the game plan is to get it running and driving so I can make sure the running gears okay then straight onto getting her looking nice

Now boost is loading I am in the process of buying parts as and when they come up forsale or Making it myself but so far I've got a manifold and decomp plate

Right so now to some pictures of the old girl IMG_1474743714.358328.jpg

Re: Hensey's 1242 8v turbo build

Nice that you are doing the p75 mpi turbo, may I ask?

Are you using the 38 mm Throttlebody?
What turbo are you going to use?
Are you going standalone or piggyback?
What compression your running? Decomp plate or other pistons?

I myself just did a P60 SPI swap, wich was alot of fun got me 80 Hp and 110 Nm at the flywheel.

I can't tell from you photo's. Did you do some portmatching while the head was off.

I'm going to follow your progress, looking good, keep up the good work

Cars already got a 40mm throttle body so I'll be using that

Will be on standalone management

Turbo not sure yet as i'm not 100% sure what flange my manifold has as I haven't received it yet

I will be using a decomp plate for now that I think is 2.5mm thick

And nope no port matching as of yet as I haven't heard this engine running yet so want to make sure it's all okay n/a before I and forced induction to the list

It's going to be a case of having the car running and driving n/a then add boost when I've collected everything to do it

What standalone are you going to use? If this engine preforms well in N/A, what boost pressure do you want to reach and what Hp figure are u aiming for?

I'm leaning towards microsquirt or similar but i'm still in the process of figuring all the little details

And power wise basically the most I can get while keeping it some what reliable

Did you check out ecumasters det3? In the netherlands it's € 199,-. De det3 comes with no map or a 2,5 of 5 Bar internal Map sensor. That's a piggyback or u have the EMU standalone from ecumasters wich is €699,- dunno what the prices are over there.

Re: Hensey's 1242 8v turbo build

So I've ordered stop and tails in the same bulbs

Re: Hensey's 1242 8v turbo build

So sorted the Idle out found out there's a blow on the exhaust from the flexi went through all the gears obviously no test to see if the gearbox is actually any good but it goes though all the gears

[ame]https://youtu.be/NOeSI90Uoeo[/ame]

Now she's on the drive as had a lovely neighbor moan about the noise strange really as his bike wakes me up at 5 in the morning

Re: Hensey's 1242 8v turbo build

Cool project. Nice wheels and yellow lights must be rare!

Isn't it odd people don't look at bikers as anti social when they are massively loud but as soon as a car with noisy exhaust shows up people look down on them as yobs?

Yep, them yellow lights are uber rare! They were like getting hold of rocking horse poo 12 years ago when i had my yellow Cinq, as soon as a set was available, they'd be gone in a snap. Practically spent every day on ebay ready to pounce if they ever appeared.

You've done well to get a pair henseyseries3 (y)

There's a lot of rare parts on this part of the reason why I got her and a steal of a price at a that

Yeah it's true like I said before I could understand if I was limiter bashing it but it was basically on idle and he's come home at about half 5 every night this week and left his bike running while he sorts his garage ect

As soon as I saw them I couldn't pass them up

Re: Hensey's 1242 8v turbo build

How does the car drive with the p75? Is it finished? Do tou already have some of the turbo bits and pieces?

Not yet still have to sort the brakes ect out should be getting a care package off Lecook soon with my turbo mani and a few other bits a piece and then I'll be going up to him to collect my abarth aprons and decomp plate as we didn't want it getting damaged in transit

Re: Hensey's 1242 8v turbo build

Well getting the rear bumper off was an experience that's left me with quite a few cuts
But the outcome is one bumper bracket is shot already knew this anyway and the others good just wants a coat of paint

Re: Hensey's 1242 8v turbo build

Yeah those bumper brackets are good uh probably the first bit to rust on a cento. Gave my sei a blast of dinitrol recently on the bumper brackets. I dont think they un-bolt on the Sei.
