Hi,
Really sorry if this has been asked before but I've trawled the Internet for answers, and may be being a little stupid. But in the flat 500 pop (U.K. Version), is it possible to adjust/lower the driver seat height. The manual indicates a lever by the seat belt plug and I've also seen diagrams showing it on the outer side also but I can't find a lever anywhere.

It looks like part of the seat to be honest, I'll take a look at where exactly it is when I'm with my car and get back to you. It's definitely there though! What year is yours?

Our 59 plate has one it's the small lever on the seat

Usually the picture can be seen generally under the text rather than clicking on it so something has changed? As in my pictures in the rear suspension bushings post below

If you click "Insert" and then the picture it should show up

It isn't part of the seat it's screwed on with 3 screws but I imagine if yours doesn't have one then the mechanism to raise the seat isn't there.

Mine is a 2016 one, so the newest model and that lever is definitely not there. Is that a pop or is it a higher spec version?

I know they are on the lounge and sport. Doesn't the Popular have a solid rear seat rather than the split one too?

Yes solid rear seat and our 59 plate pop has the drivers seat height adjustment

Oh, that's odd then. Seems a bit random as to whether it has one or not. I wonder if it was part of an accessory pack.

Well according to the Fiat UK configurator, only the Lounge comes with this as standard. The Pop and Pop Star don't have it as standard, and incredibly it doesn't appear to be available as an option either!

I thought it was bad enough with the new Panda when they stopped fitting it as standard on many of the models to begin with, but at least you could pay £50 for the privilege (I see now that the Panda Pop is the only one without it, and it costs £85 to have it fitted).

To not even offer it as an option on the 500 is pretty shocking, it's hardly a luxury item!

As for the original question, you might do well to post on the Panda 2012 section and see if anyone on there has had any experience of retrofitting a suitable mechanism.

You would be surprised how cheaply you can buy a full set of seats on eBay. I have two complete sets in my garage, full sport interior and full facelift Lounge.

I've looked a few times on eBay to replace my seats but sport ones seem to be a lot more expensive then the lounge/pop cloth seats unfortunately.

I got a complete set including door cards for £100. I then bought a car with the red and white seats which I hate so I found a set of lounge seats and door cards which were absolutely filthy, £80, it was in south London so I went to collect them. Cleaned them twice with my Vax and they are like new. I then found a set of the new style lounge seats, no door cards unfortunately £100 with free delivery.

Keep an eye on eBay, search regularly and you might be lucky like I've been.

I've also got 2 Abarth steering wheels for future projects.

This is the same type as mine but my drivers seat the vinyl has started to crack a bit.

I'd like to get the black 500s seats as I really like the stitching.

The ones from the more recent s? I love those, with the red stitching and the logo on the seat. Really comfy. I often see those come up in eBay. That's the set I have in my garage waiting for a car to put them in.

Yeah I've seen a few blue sets but they won't go in my yellow car!
