1500 Carlos Reutemann 1965 Fiat 1500

Introduction

Hello from Australia,
Im new to this forum and would like to share my Historic Fiat race car with members.
This Carlos Reutemann 1965 Fiat 1500 was found in Australia in 2015 after sitting for 16 years abandoned on a farm.
Chassis number :1150725992
Engine number : 115C000573967
Won World rally championships 1966 and 1967.
Exported from Argentina in early 1970's to the UK and was road registered while in the UK.
Sold and exported from the UK to Australia in late 1980 where it was raced in Appendix J Historic motor racing.
It has been converted from Left hand drive to Right hand drive and has been re-painted dark British racing green with yellow stripe and given number 36.
When car raced in Argentina it was originally painted factory Fiat mettalic blue and was given a white stripe and number 53 and it was Left hand drive.
The car still has all its original paint under multiple layers of racing liveries.
You can see the nice metallic blue paint under the dash board, under hood linning, around floor areas etc and you can see the crude left to right hand drive conversion if you look under the front of car and under dash board.
The front suspension arms are heavily strengthened, reinforced.
Last raced in Australia in 1998.
I hope members will enjoy the many photos.

The first photo is when the race car was found in Oakdale NSW Australia in 2015.
Following photos of the Fiat when it was racing in Australia in the 1980's.
Racing at Amaroo park raceway NSW Australia and Eastern creek race track NSW Australia.
More photos of the Carlos Reutemann Fiat 1500 racing at Amaroo park NSW Australia in the 1980's with Cortina in back ground.
All CAMS "Confederation of Australian motor sport" books, papers and Historic log book with the Fiat race car.

Still in as found condition, engine was rebuilt by Rob Rowe racing Amaroo park Annangrove NSW in mid 1990's.
Car being moved to storage 2016 prior to mechanical inspection and tidy up.
Car will be left in original unrestored condition as it last raced in 1998.

You can see the original Factory Fiat mettalic blue paint in various areas on the body.
Fiat race car is now British racing green which was done in the 1970's and redone again in the 1980's.
Still has original factory Fiat brown seats and interior.

Photos of how the car looked when driven by Carlos Reutemann in 1965 66 and 67.
You can see in the first photo the car was originally factory Fiat blue , NOT as many thought was red as the Italian works cars were.
And later photos 1969 1970 colour changes and liveries.
British racing green and yellow.
