Panda (Classic) Charmanda(er) - mania continued......

Introduction

So having been amused at everyone guessing who have bought Char' I own up, t'was me :nerner:

Obviously having just picked up today I don't really have much to say, but I am a happy bunny. I have many plottings going on in my head as to what to do with it - you'll just have to wait and see what happens in the long term, in the short term gonna pretty much leave it and enjoy panda-life for a bit.

Anyway, everyone like pics over waffling... ;)

Got a lift from Simon in exchange for a full tank of fuel (should have half left still i think lol).

Few hours and a pitstop to eat a Subway for brekkie and then.... A wild Charmander appeared :D

Was not the best weather on the drive back but Char' ran faultlessly

Stopped about halfway home for quick pitstop and to get a pic to share on facebook for all the people guessing what I had bought before it got too dark.

And finally made it home - was mildly amusing getting out the panda to move my alfa forward a touch and practically stamping a hole through the floor cause its such a light pedal compared to the panda.... I hate to think what it would be like going from panda to suzuki as that is way way way lighter pedals than even the alfa.

All 3 fit on the drive, albeit quite close together.. But the garage is empty and Char' will live in there when not being driven - just couldn't be bothered to move all the cars around after being in the car all day.

i think i will be ok - seems to have most stuff in the revised section (assume thats section 13). Tbh not really sure what I will even use it for other than torque settings and they all appear to be there.... I bought this one cause its clearly an older print and that somehow made it cooler in my head lol - has loads of 769cc fire stuff in it though (y)

There is different (2nd) edition of the blue one as well, with gearbox full strip down procedure.

I've got 2x blue, 1x green + 1x Porter for 4x4 torques.

I'll look at it in more detail later... I flicked through it when it arrived earlier and pretty sure its got anything I will need - although didn't look at wiring diagram bits but panda is super simple.

Just been talking to this italian guy via many barely understandable ebay messages, i think we are on the same page.... And I think i have ordered the badge, have certainly paid for it at least - lets hope it actually turns up at some point haha.

I'm surprised you managed to find a 'fire' badge as people have had trouble getting them in the past, that's the only reason I included the one that fell off a couple of years ago with the car.

Missed this message before - There was quite a few of them on Italian ebay - but i think the one i bought was actually in UK in the end

Well some of the roads round me have been gritted... So i think thats Char in the garage til spring now - well prob come out to tickover on the drive a few times and stuff but as i really don't have to expose it to the harsh weather and salt I won't...

It might just be the photo but looks like the glossy slightly curved one that were on Fiats in the era of the Punto mk2, the Panda one is flat and has a matte finish, well the one I bought did and it looks like what Char's faded one should look like. I might be wrong though and that photo is very dark so hard to tell.
