Seicento Another yellow Schumacher

Introduction

So after getting my old sei where I wanted it and realising the I cant afford to insure it modified heres the build of my old sei
https://www.fiatforum.com/showthread.php?t=416521

I saw this nice looking schumacher on on ebay with no bids and a few hours left so I had a bid won it and now I've just picked it up and on the way back to Birmingham from London with it

What I didn't realise the car come with full service history up to when it was sat for two years and looks really rust free so I'm happy

Looks cool. Its a shame they stopped fitting the red belts to the Seicento. I guess it was just cost cutting?

The rear bumper is a little faded on mine. Also happened on a yellow Cinq I had which was mint. I think it's common.

BTW Have you felt how much the rear headrest weigh?!! ? they come out easily. Depends on how often you carry rear seat passengers I guess.

Yeah the seatbelts are nice matches the whole "schumacher theme" with the red an yellow

And mine needs painting in places and I'm too scared to book it in at work for repairs because the paints faded that bad it wouldn't match even in person it doesn't look the faded but get the colour chip the same paint coded and it's way off

The headrest are quite heavy for what they are I don't like them Imho prefer the look of the spi with no rear headrests

Have you tried the colour restorer polish? If you can get it in yellow....

Otherwise see it as patina.

Have you seen those pale yellow/gold Peugeots, they fade very badly, almost till they are silver on the top

As some people may know we got my mom s punto last night but something strange happend with the sei when I was back at home it over heated not sure how long I had it running for when I need some light on the punto the "oh **** me the waters ****ing hot" light come on I didn't hear then fan when I noticed it so that's something I've got to look inton

It was a dealer option front and back bumper and side skirts. Very rare like the Chinq abarth. People didn't really buy them and spend loads on extras because they tended to be frugal cars... small and economical etc

The 5 door front bunker is different to the 3 door hgt front. Very rare imo

I bought a nos one for my 5 door

Also had abit off a mess around with some stuff I had lying around at home to make an induction kit
Also swapped out the sub to a 12" pioneer in a sealed box also waiting for a new amp I brought on ebay to come so I can use my 4awg wiring kit with 8awg reducers instead of having a disto block

So a pretty big update for me atleast went scrapyard today and found something I've spent months hoping would pop up
1455997876408.jpg
Oh yes a p75 scrap yard find so clearly I would do what anyone else would grab the engine or head well there we are I got the head off £50 later I've got a awesome deal and one very happy james

Well "what are you going to do with that I hear you cry"
Well I was going to put it on my 1108 but just so happens I broke a punto for friend and happend to have his mpi 1242 sat spare for mothers punto as that needs valve stem seals so I did a swap with my dad mom has my engine/head with the 866 in for the 1242 so that's what the heads going on so here's a few pictures already got the head off and the p75 head on for safe keeping now

So list of parts I need
.head gasket set
.head bolts
.timing belt kit
.bolts and seal for the 899 bob
.cluch, quadrant and cluch cable as might aswell do it when the engines out
.plugs
.oil filter
If anyone else can think of anything just say anyway here's a few pictures off head and engine ect

Head cleaned should have got it skimmed really but it seem alright and wasn't warped 1456598685440.jpg

Had to clearance the head slightly to use the mpi cam pully 1456598766079.jpg1456598790019.jpg
Don't think I have any close up pictures of what It looked like after

Block also cleaned 1456598843179.jpg

Also painted the rocker cover looks **** as it was way to cold to paint I'll do it properly when it warms up abit but here's the basic idea 1456598893211.jpg

Head all bolted back on and ready for cambelt and exhaust manifold and rocker cover all bolted on 1456598975522.jpg

And also new down pipe ordered to make fit 1456599015700.jpg

So went to the scrapyard again Saturday and found some pgt wheels to go with my other set that are alot cleaner and less curbed all for the price of £60 And also decided to buy moms punto off her to run around in while the seis off the road having an engine change

Nice pinto. As I said before I have never seen a 5 door with dealer abarth kit on the road. Pretty rare beast. If only ever seen pics online.

Loads of hgts about though.

Has it got the optional subwoofer in the boot? I fitted one to mine which was a nice upgrade which uses wasted space behind the c pillar.
