Introduction

So after getting my old sei where I wanted it and realising the I cant afford to insure it modified heres the build of my old sei
https://www.fiatforum.com/showthread.php?t=416521

I saw this nice looking schumacher on on ebay with no bids and a few hours left so I had a bid won it and now I've just picked it up and on the way back to Birmingham from London with it

What I didn't realise the car come with full service history up to when it was sat for two years and looks really rust free so I'm happy

Omg I thought insurance was bad when I was 17!!!

If your car was leaking enough to noticably affect fuel consumption I would have thought you would smell it?

I had a little bit of petrol smell went around an island in weston but that was it I've checked the filler to the tank and I'd rule out the tank being rotten because it's pretty new so It could have just been in my head about it using more fuel on the way there because working it out it only used 20 quid there and back

So had a spare day at work today so I decided to start preping the car for winter months in the way off underseal it's half black and half clear ran out of black half way through and also decided to do a service as it needed one
And yesterday one of the lads decided they wanted to catch the front bumper with the recovery truck so it's booked in Thursday for the bumper to be repaired and painted

Got bored at work today and though it would be a good idea to cut the middle box out and we on an exhaust tip I thought that cutting the middle box out would make cheap noise it did a but not massive amounts

Thanks man I do like the punto wheels and the series was going to be my first car and you know what it's like things grow and the landrover slowly and slowly got more modified to the point where I'd wouldn't be able to insure it as a first car then the sei come along and I've fell for these little fiats but the series will get finished even if it takes me a few years to get it how I want it

What have you done to the land rover? Suspension? I like the land rovers standard. They are worth more money that way :)

You know when you have one of them days where nothing goes right well today has been one of them days put the cam in and changed the whole cam followers with the cam couldn't for the life of me get it timed back up even with my timing marks the timing just kept slipping had my dad come over to help me got it timed up but now she's running lumpy and tapping from one side of the engine so going to strip it back down check timing and measure the shims but limped it home from work parked it up and it's not moving till the weekend just incase It will cause any damage

I think i was lucky when i fitted my 866 years ago. I just used the spare shims from the doner engine and did my first shim job. Shame my Speedo never worked to see how fast it went...

Maybe one shim is out of tolerance
