Thought it was about time I showed you guys a very few pictures of my 2005 mk2b.. It's the trusty old 1.2 8V! I got it back in end of January this year, when my grandma decided it was time to buy a new car - so it's well taken care of, under body sealant and low mileage (only done ~111500km now).
I obviously have no intentions of keeping it stock, and seeing as I'm into HiFi, the first thing I got for the car was a new headunit and door speakers. Since then I've replaced front & rear dampers, strut bearings, lowered it and fitted a badgeless grille. More is to come - along with better pictures!

Styling Modifications:
- Abarth front bumper
- FK badgeless grille
- Removed doorbumpers
- Debadged boot
- Novitec tinted side makers
- HEKO wind deflectors
- Removed number plate frames
- Rolled rear arches
- A few stickers
- Tinted rear windows (28%)
- Black framed headlights

Interior:
- Alfa 156 front seats
- DIY flat floor
- Alfa 147 leather steering wheel
- Black faux suede wrapped a-pillars

- 15x7 ET30 Azev A w/15mm spacer rear (Yokohama Parada Spec2 195/50-15)
- 1.9JTD 80 brake calipers w/257*20mm vented discs
- EBC Green Stuff brake pads
- HEL stainless steel braided brake hoses
- PowerFlex Purple Series bushings front, rear and sway bar

Performance:
- NGK DCPR7EIX Iridium Spark Plugs
- Bosch coil pack (1.2 16V)
- Custom Magnecor Electrosports 80 ignition leads
- GSR induction kit w. BMC Twin Air filter w. filter heat shield
- Oil pressure gauge
- 1.2 16V flywheel & clutch (190mm)
- ToyoSports 4-1 de-cat manifold w/heat wrap
- Magnaflow 400 cell ceramic cat
- Ragazzon back box
- 2" DIY stainless steel centre pipe

- Focal PS165FX 2-way speakers
- Audison SR4 amplifier
- StP AntiCor Light sound deadening
- StP BiPlast 5mm sound dampening
- Various Connection Audison cables for power, signal and speakers
- Autoleads speaker door pods w. 30mm MDF adaptor

Consider getting the windows tinted and the wind deflectors do make a big difference.

I added the fog lights but be warned mine had all the wiring in place, if they don't it makes the fog lights a PITA to install (they also don't provide very much light anyway) I'm really not into modifying so it's not going further than it currently is, I'm considering a couple of comfort mods like heated seats and an engine block heater for those cold winter mornings

I bought mine in 2008 and have actually driven more miles in that time that your car has ever done!

Re: My daily

Fog light installation shouldn't be too difficult, it's as simple as pulling a few wires, installing a switch and connecting to a relay..

Have been considering window tint in the rear as well - but will have to wait for warmer weather at least.
Wind deflectors may or may not happen - they're sadly not legal in Denmark.. But then again, neither are my rear wheels

It is going to see more mileage now that it's mine though - have done nearly 4000km in the past 2 months.

Welcome to Denmark.. Where we have insane rules about everything car related.. They're not legal for the reason that they "obstruct" the view.

I'm happy with my sunroof though - already used it a few times on nice spring days.. Bit noisy above 50mph obviously

They influence it slightly, but hey some rules are made to be broken

As daft as it sounds - it'll only take like a 2cmx2cm batch out right by the wing mirror so what difference does that make?

I will probably end up buying them..
Next step though, is getting my summer wheels on (waiting for the new tyres to arrive sometime next week) - followed by a full service..

Re: My daily

Looks great my friend.

Lovely wheels you found there. I have a silver 5 door mk2 8v, here in Denmark aswell. Where abouts are you based?

Funny thing is, got mine from my grandmother aswell, in the exact same situation. Though she hasn't been so careful with it cosmetically, so it has some thing all around, which i may or may not sort out at some point, if funds allow.

Mine have only just done 80000km

I've sound insulated mine aswell in the doors, actually make a significant difference.

How much have the 16" wheels affected the performance? I'm asking since, i've just got in hold of some sporting wheels, and is a little unsure whether to go 185/55 or 195/50

How do you find the 156 seats to sit in, compared to the standards?

Regards Frederik

Ahh, hello there fellow Dane
I'm located in Kolding, how about you?

Haha, what a coincidence!
Mine's got some scruffs and scratches as well, but I doubt I'll fix it - there's quite a lot of sand blasting going on right in front of the rear wheels as well. I wouldn't go further than sanding and painting with Motip's colour matched sprays if it was me. It's by far the cheapest solution, and will provide you with a reasonably good result if you do it properly.

Only deadened my doors for now, no dampening as of yet.

Haven't fitted the wheels yet, still waiting for one of my new tires to arrive. But aren't the sporting wheels 6.5" width? Because then a 195 will definitely be too wide.

The seats were a no-brainer for me. Some people dislike the 156 for their narrow back, but they grip nicely to a slim body.
It should be noted that they do not provide as much comfort as the stock seats. That goes for any seats out of a 156/147/GT really.

/Steffen

My daily

Køge here.

Yeah it does sadly, that's why I've fitted some mudflats as well, to prevent that as much as possible.

Well that decides it then, if 195 is to wide, I think you're right about the with.

I actually thought the comfort would be much higher, since the seats looks larger. I'm missing som thigh support of the standard ones.

Where did you find your lowering springs, since I'm trying to find some as cheap as possible

Yeah deadened my doors and boot as well actually, with the same stuff from stp.

I've planned to dampen my wheel wells also, and fit some liners in the back too

I'd even consider a 175/50-15 if it was me. Will give a misread on the speedo, but it's within the 5% tolerance allowed.
Somewhat low-profile, and should be plenty grip for the Punto. And you'll be able to maintain a decent economy at the same time.

Sounds like you're a tall guy/long legged, as myself? I generally struggle with getting thigh support, regardless of the car I get in to.
The reason for less comfort, is due to less upholstery.

The Eibach Sportline springs is the cheapest around - of well branded ones anyway. Get them at either Fiat Sportiva or MW Motorsport (Italo Tuning) - they're 110€ both places.

Re: My daily

Today I was fixing the right side of my rear bumper, that was sagging slightly, and found another little project, as soon as I had removed the inner wheel liner.
Luckily, for now it is just surface rust, so it just needs to be sanded, primed, and covered up nicely again, and that should be last of it for another 10 years
