Then you'd basically just need new plugs. But not a DIY job as such, if you don't have a pin removal tool. Not super easy to release the pins inside the plugs with just a small flathead screwdriver. The coils themselves are fine I assume?
Thanks for the info!

Yes everything is running ok but just trying to get everything renewed and in order. The lead covers themselves have perished and its all looking a bit untidy.

I wasnt aware that the clips could be removed - I wouldnt even know where to start in order to find replacements?!

Fiat should have them. I'd like to say I could give you the part no, but I need some time to dig down into the parts catalogue.

You've been a great help, thanks mate.

Will give Fiat a call and see if its something I can get.

Re: My daily

I fitted a Toyosports 4-1 decat manifold last weekend, and this is the result - which is rather noticeable! Torque curve now with peak @3500 rather than @2500 and overall 10nM gain throughout. The power curve is also quite a lot smoother now, especially above 5000rpm. Next step: camshaft (in about 15000km when the timing belt is due).

Not overfueling no. Running a mini-cat from Ragazzon, so the 2nd o2 sensor still sees the cleaner air, as if it had gone through a cat - hence ECU acts the same as before.

Re: My daily

what about completely removing cat and disconnecting both lambdas, i wonder would it overfuel all the time?

It would go into limp-home mode, so you wouldn't go anywhere. And I am running no cat, I've got free flow all the way to the back box.

I'm decat with GSR and straight through, both lambdas plugged in. Had the engine light come on once which I cleared about 6 months ago, had nothing since. Been mot'd and done a out 2k miles with no issues. Never had limp mode when the light did come on.

Having them plugged in is a different story than unplugging them..
Also, my best guess is that my fuel economy won't really be affected, since the 2nd lambda sees just about what it did before, so it won't adjust fuel injection

Re: My daily

2016 End Review:
My 2nd year with the Punto have now passed - and for the most part trouble free. I am however starting to see minor signs of old age, but am hoping to keep it going for another 4 years - it has done just shy of 166000km (103000mi) by now, so the engine should last that time out, with my relatively high mileage.
I had an injector die on me a couple months ago, and there seems to be a moisture related injection problem as well, that I have yet to source. The timing belt is due in a couple months time, and I will have the head shimmed at the same time, as well as fitting an 866 cam. I still plan on doing a track day or two this year.
The new year will however be started off with new plugs, o2 sensors and a fresh round of engine oil - soon to be followed by a clutch!

Stats:
1707L of petrol burned - 30.477km driven - 17,8km/l avg (50,4 UK MPG).

Would you be able to post those old O2 sensors to me in Finland please if you have no use for them?

Re: My daily

Fitted a new clutch today - the old one was the factory fitted one, and hadn't started slipping yet! It's done 171000km (106300mi) - I'm quite impressed, especially considering how I've been driving that car sometimes! It was showing quite a bit of wear though, and a few of the grooves was gone towards the outer edge, so it wouldn't have lasted that much longer.
