Panda 2012+ Chichi, the Angry Panda

Introduction

Took delivery this afternoon. She's a Twinair Cross in Tuscany Green with winter & comfort packs, reversing sensors and rear privacy glass.

Had sill kick plates, matts, boot liner & the Panda B pillar badges fitted by the dealer.

She replaces my beloved 500 Twinair Plus which is going to a good friend (the best pound for pound car I've ever owned - I'll really miss it)

Early impressions are very solid & grown up. Nice controls, great driving position and a good drive. Quieter than I was expecting too, especially given the reviews & the semi-serious rubber.

Bring on the snow!

Here are some pics:-

I'll keep you posted :)

Cheers,
Well, life has thrown me a curve ball when I need it the least.

My 87 year old father recently passed away so I've inherited his 3 month old / 500 mile Kia Venga 3 1.6 petrol.

So, dilemma time.

The sensible thing to do is hand the Panda back on what's called voluntary termination as it's on a PCP. I'm over half way through and whilst there'll be a small excess mileage payment to make (3000 @ £0.06) and a get out early fee, I'll be saving another 22 months @ £285 plus the final payment.

The Venga is fully paid for, has all the toys, a service package for 4 years and the 7 year warranty. It's in a nice colour too.

The but is quite BIG. I love my Panda. It's me. Whilst the Kia is nice, It's not really me.

To put things in perspective, the Panda is our practical daily that we use when we have the niece & nephew over or to take the olds shopping. The GT86 is our less sensible daily.

Should common sense prevail as in Panda gone, Kia stay?

The other issue with Kia is it's lost just over £5k in 3 months / 500 miles. If I let it go, I have the feeling the old man will haunt me:(

Thoughts?

Cool car, it's a no brainer what to do IMHO. :D
Keep the Kia, say goodbye to the Panda. ;)

Seconded. I love Pandas but on a cost benefit analysis the Kia is the only sensible choice. You can then put some money aside and save for the new Panda when it arrives in 2018...

I think Mr Pretender was being sarcastic.

The more I think about the situation, the more my heart is ruling my head. That's Italian cars for you or in my case, small FIATs for me

I understand that. That's why I'm driving a Fiat again after 3 years of driving an appliance. That and the fact my family (Italian) were disappointed that I had chosen a non-Italian car... As for the sarcasm - I didn't realise Fiat drivers were capable of lower forms of wit [emoji6]

Great pics! Fond memories of walking the Falls with my dad, who knew that area like the back of his hand. Enjoy the walk tomorrow!

I did Henryd a few week back. Awesome!

I've got quite complicated arthritis & and a knackered back (6 surgeries so far) but quality pharmaceuticals allow me keep in touch with my beloved outdoors.

At least you've made decision. If you take the Panda down to the dealer with the Kia, you'll know why you kept when you get in to drive back. Mine goes like a rocket now it's finally run in . (y)

[emoji546] [emoji634] how could you put a kia before a fiat [emoji19]

He was being sarcastic:p

The Kia is "probably" the batter car. Very well made (as is the Panda) but nicer material quality, much better kit, that warranty, the dealers and the servicing package.

If head ruled heart, my decision would have been different. If he'd had a Soul, Nitro or Sportage, the Panda wouldn't have been a consideration.....

Hi rosso am sure you are right have never looked at them kia cars closely but there seems to be a lot of people buying them in [emoji634] . So they must be good I used to like the sedona years ago every body got different tastes[emoji487] [emoji106]

That was the plan but someone from AROC approached me directly & the deal works out better :)

Oh well, at least it's gone to a good home. I did think about putting in an offer as TA Crosses aren't available here and the exchange rate is good these days, could have met you in Holyhead! More than happy with the 500 for the present though and like yourself next stop 595 if anything but probably not for the foreseeable
