Panda 2012+ Chichi, the Angry Panda

Introduction

Took delivery this afternoon. She's a Twinair Cross in Tuscany Green with winter & comfort packs, reversing sensors and rear privacy glass.

Had sill kick plates, matts, boot liner & the Panda B pillar badges fitted by the dealer.

She replaces my beloved 500 Twinair Plus which is going to a good friend (the best pound for pound car I've ever owned - I'll really miss it)

Early impressions are very solid & grown up. Nice controls, great driving position and a good drive. Quieter than I was expecting too, especially given the reviews & the semi-serious rubber.

Bring on the snow!

Here are some pics:-

I'll keep you posted :)

Cheers,
Yep, the S4 is our fine weather toy / holiday in Europe car.

Can't see me in a modern Alfa again :(

Yep I'd be exactly the same, I'll be buried in my series 2 and keep it for occasional summer fun & shows etc, after owning a string of Alfas from the 80's up to early 00's I don't see myself in one again either sadly. Bertie 1750 GTV to compliment the Spider would be 1st on the list but prices have gone thru the roof. I just need to prevent myself from being lured towards the 105 500s when it comes out, quite fancy a Cross but they're silly money here - about 23K Euro against the 500 which is about 19k for a 105 ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1454936538.598560.jpg

If Alfa went through with the Spider (instead of giving it to FIAT), I would have had one of those.

My Alfa requirement is a usable Coupe / drop top or 3 door hot hatch.

None on the cards from what I can see.

An SUV would be tempting mind you ;)

I've got my eye on the 124 sport......there is an Alfa SUV on the way apparently

And to think you could pick GTVs up for buttons only a few years ago. Such a great car!

I have to say the Giulia looks a bit dull despite the hype, ok it's RWD which is great but the styling IMO is a bit generic 'euro' saloon a la the equally disappointing Ghibli. For a car using such an iconic Alfa name I think they could have pushed the boat out a bit further and designed it with a bit more flair, it almost looks like a scaled up 156!

Looks great! ... I actually qent to Fiat to ask about the Cross but even to date they're not available here (Guatemala) :( ended up getting a Sedici that they apparently were unable to sell in the 4 years since it had been built instead... still love the Cross though!

... and you know we have to ask: what's under the Abarth car cover in the garage mate? ;)

Thanks. Are your cars LHD or RHD over there? Could you personal import one?

This. A 2002 Seicento Abarth :)

Those little things (the Seicento) just fly! :) It looks gorgeous.

As for lhd/rhd we're left hand drive here. The Brits didn't want anything to do with Guatemala :) It's probably more reasonable to wait than to import one. Parts would be a royal pain in the behind (both getting them in and paying for them)... I mean Fiat parys are already pretty expensive as it is here. People seem to be more into Japanese cars around here... They'll eventually bring it in I guess. I mean the Cross would be absolutely perfect for Guatemala.
