Cinquecento The Cinq Has Gone

Introduction

Well the cinq was picked up by its new owner at 1.00pm today so i thought id put up the last pictures i took of it the other day which show the exhaust etc ive been on about for ages

Will hopefully get my next car soon although i doubt it will be fiat as i want something different so thanks to everyone on here who gave help and advice while i owned the cinq its much appreciated such as FIX IT AGAIN TOMMORROW (pete).

And GAZ-Wrexham i forgot to thank you for the stickers you sent me a while ago :bang: sorry, thanks loads mate its well appreciated(y) and ive put them on the rear windows so the new owner might come on here soon shes a 21 year old girl whos just passed her test so the car was perfect especially with all the mods which makes it alot nicer to drive and doesnt up the insurance.

And everyone's probably wondering how much i let it go for well, the girl was the second person to view it and offered full price that was in the paper as other people were interested every day so it sold for £900 which im happy with as its no where near what it cost me but i can move onto my next car and the girl was happy with the cinq which is what counts.

well wont leave the ff as i like seeing what people have done to their cars etc

Lora i live in kidsgrove in stoke and the cinq has gone to biddulph which is gonna do my head in when i see someone else driving it past me :(

And it was an 899 SX but had the following

TOAD alarm with remote locking, anti hi jack, controllable sensors for interior and shock etc,

Full apex suspension kit dropped 40mm

Ssicento sporting mk1 seats with retrimmed headling, doorcards and ashtray

Fiat 14's with yokos

K&N induction kit and peco one off exhaust

basically it looked better than a sporting, was more well equiped, handled better and was still quick

i know kidsgrove :)

Never knew you were from stoke.

good luck with getting a new car, hopefully you'll be joining the VW party :)

Wow Wayne, firstly the car looks great in those pics and you got a great price for it.

I am also on the Lupo forum, username: iwantone IIRC haven't logged in for ages. Waned a GTI but on my wages it wasn't practical.

Good luck with your next car and don't feel you have to leave.

well probably wont be leaving the forum

and i can afford a lupo gti but the insurance is astranomical for what it is so its totally out of budget

im going for a seat arosa if i can find one and its basically a Volkswagon lupo if you didnt know except better looking and Lora what convinced you to go up to a beetle its quite a bit different wouldnt you say?

i wanted the arosa a few months back when i decided i needed a new car. Purely because i loved the back lights  Then mum said vw build quality is better. So comes the lupo.

The beetle came as a suprise. I knew i couldnt afford one - about 3k out of my budget. Then i woke up one day and thought about it and decided that if i got a lupo i wouldnt keep it as id just save for the bug. So thought i'd lose less money getting the bug in the first place.

Basically thought f**k it i'll have what i want.

But i dont regret anything, the bug still makes me smile when i see it and i dont really notice the money i pay out for my loan - i would have just spent it on random things anyway.

Must admit i really like the bugs as ive seen a few done up and they look amazing but i was put of the new ones when i was told there a vw golf with a different shell as i think the golf aint a fun car untill the latest one came out.

And a seat Arosa is made on the same production line as a lupo and if you open the boot at look above the rear lights it has the VW symbol stamped into the metal

i agree with you on the ****it idea as if i cant find a damn arosa in the model i want soon im just gonna buy a car i want and can also get and worrry about the insurance later

Good choice in car though lora and how much did you pay and what model is it etc and have you got a better pic than in your sig as it doesnt do it justice

Movie Pro refers to my favourite past time when not driving, I'm usually to be found watching a DVD, recent count showed 230!

Erm, I had a good repore with a salesman at my local VW dealer and sat in an unregistered GTI (VW gave it a tape as standard with CD as optional, it's >2000 FFS!) anyway, told him I couldn't go £13K for a split new one and said look out for me and call me if you find one below £9K, when he finally did I wasn't in a position to afford it. They strike me as a natural progression from the Cinq, even the car seems as small inside, the boot especially.

Its a 2.0 standard model. No leather/ fogs/ fancy heated seats etc. I paid 6.5k but only because they guy was taking that much in as trade in if he didnt sell it that day. It was up for 7.5k and is still worth around 7.3k.
its very quick  for me anyway. i never looked for peformance.. i wanted the 1.6 until i found out it had no air con. 1.4 was too new so i couldnt afford it so came the 2.0 :)

I have lots of pics  heres a few...

yeah it is damn nice and 2.0 eh how did you explain to your insurance compy that you were going from a 1.1 fiat to a 2.0 dub bet theyve loaded your premium even though you are female (not a sexist remark like people always acuse me off)

ive missed loads of arguments i only got back two wekks ago from france (stayed there for two weeks why i dont know) and thats not a bad price except for the excess but is that because of the value or the cc as some companies do it for either and what did happen with the cinq last i heard you were breaking it but forgot to ask why, that or my memory is worse than i already thought it was

Excess is a young driver excess i had an equally high one on my cinq.

Yeah i've finally got 'half the market value of the car' (£750) out of the insurance company. and they'll be taking it away next week hence why im selling the bits i can at the moment.

they think £750 is half the value of the car ive just sold by cinq with mods for £900 you got a good deal there if you can make money on top of that off the parts like if the ecu and full lock set went missing i doubt theyd notice straight away and its worth a bit

I'll probably get another £100ish ontop so havent done so badly :)

Cant take locks as i think they'll notice. Would take things from under the bonnet though.

I'm pleased on the value - i was expecting more the £400 mark.
