Cinquecento Cinq Abarth Black an yellow

Introduction

hello everybody,
3 months ago I bought my Fiat Cinquecento,
back then it looked like this:

When i bought it, the gearbox was leaking oil at the driveshaft bearing, so as advised by a fellow cinquecento driver, i took out the engine and gearbok, replaced the bearings, cleaned the engine a little and replaced the valve cover gasket

because I loved driving it(after 1 day) I began loooking for a new driver seat, I actualy found one, but then spotted another gem:

after cleaning and fitting it looked very nice!

after that i bought myself a new steering wheel, original electric windows and electric locks

the same as my original only stiched with red thread(i think that sentence is not correct)

next upgrade,
a black?!? Abarth kit
yes black, because i can, and at that time i havn't seen another cinq in this color combination:eek:

Yes the creative idiot in me strikes again!

this time i wanted red rings in my dash, but rim liner does not like to stay there (n)

and then it looked sort of dull on those original wheels, so i fitted a set of BBS Mahle 13x7J ET12 :slayer:

And yes, after al that the idiot in me decided to go oldschool ,

and yet my to do list:

everything marked in red is done (y)
-refurbish headlights

-60/40 suspension kit bumpstops
-custom sporting bumpers
-zwarte dashboard etc monteren
-build custom oldschool 900 gear knob
-900 teller installeren
-new windscreen with sun filter
-Engine Tuning
-Racing seatbelts
- front/rear strutbar
- Strongflex

parts needed:

-900 Gearknob
-Black dash and trim
-900 oldschool gauge
-900 mid consol

-1.1mpi intake
-Strongflex kit
-strutbars

-original FIAT window visor (left)
-Bumpstops

they look quite the same indeed, only difrenc a sporting has the rpm gauge,
And the 900 has no centre consol, that was optional and that optional had no coin holder and was slightly boxier... Also the shifte difrebt, a 900 has a round knob with rubber sleve, the sporting hasher a beter shaped k,nob with leather sleve, and a push down to reverse system, just minor details, the first cinqs also had a black dash and trim instead of grey / dark grey so that wil also be converted.

And either some orange indicators or some clear side repeaters so they match each other.

Loving the instrument surround, how have i never seen anyone do that in all the years of being in cento-land!?!?!?

Considered doing the roof in black vinyl?
 
at the moment I have a lowered suspension kit but my wheels are so wide they are 1,5cm wider then the wheel arches :')
So I desperatly need bumpstops,
And thanks for the compliment on the instrument, I haven't seen another on who has done this,
I have thougt about black vinyl on the roof, and the orange blinkers are going to happen (y)
As you can see on the small image on the bottom of my first post, it wil be a classic 900 look 1.1 animal :D

It has been a while....
There have been some hard work going on last weeks...
Starting with the interiour..
I startet by mounting black panels( front doors, and rear) then painted the roof black,
Fitted a Black dash, but found out that it was broken, so I painted my grey dash, (used motip Primer and cheap matte black paint) it turned out to be the same collor as original :D

So tomorrow I'm going to pick up a new foam piece for the seat, because mine died... And this week I'm going to weld the seat..
Also.. There is an upcomming Photoshoot with the lowered cinq :D
 
It has been a while (the app is quite messed up, or my phone is...) anyhow I broke my seat (yes again....) the tempoary fix was a bit to temporary and i decided to completely rebuid the seat, with new foam(custom cut) an a new frame,
Also i prommised you guys some pics.. So here the come :D:D

And yes it just is that badass wide... No spacers or what so ever....

And.... I made some custom parts...

Not as exciting as it sounds but it's something...

But now,
Most of the time my radio is turned off, but when I turn it on, i want good sound, but I just can't stand the horrible looks of those speakers...
So for the audio upgrade I took some 10cm 80W 2ohm 2way speakers up front, customized the original frobts so you cant see diference..
Custom fabricated a rear speaker panel, wit a 17cm 220Watt 5ohm 3way pioneer speaker, and it sounds like heaven (my previous car had a Bose sound system and this comes pretty close)

I found out that i dont have a picture of the pioneer speaker so here is the panel, and because it's 12.30 AM I am not going to make a new one right now :p

Allright, I really f*cked up this time..
Did some small improvemenrs, nothing worth noticing,
And today, it happened... I hit a tree..
Driving about 50/60 kmh I lost control and hit a tree, stepped out un injured, but the cinq is a few cm shorter, the comlete engine was pushed back 6CM and destroyed the coolant can, the engine mount sas ripped of the engine, as is the oil filter(engine block is ruined..)
Stripped most of the dammaged parts, and if it will be rebuilt, it wil be with a tuned 1.2 8v P75
So sorry guys, I'll be missing centozlot this year :(

Decission about rebuilding is yet to come..

Still, it's not often a driver walks away from a tree hit...

Made the decision yesterday..
The body is in such a good shape, it would be a shame to scrap it, next few weeks I will strip the engine bay, take the engine apart, and every part thats broken wil be replaced (some idiot claimed he could weld the engine, not going t happen :p )
The engine is realy messed up, the engine mount tore of, with a little piece of engine, and the part with oil filter+crankposition sensor etc. is also broken...
So the engine wil be replaced, the front bar will be entirely replaced and it will be ready for summer 2015 :)
