Good evening everyone , just a little update

In February someone went into the back of me while stationary at traffic lights, its all fixed now though. Ive just booked my car in to have the stainless steel exhaust bracket welded back on as that decided to break off today ( may have been as a result of the accident )

Ive just purchased a set of Eibach sportline springs as the spax ones i have on at the moment where second hand and creaked , plus these should give a better level look as they are 50mm front and 40mm rear .

Once theyre on i'll be looking to get a better cd player to replace the standard one . suggestions would be great for this as i dont know where to start with audio .

Just a quick picture , not alot done lately cleaned up under the engine bay ( wasnt very dirty anyway ) and polished the bonnet stay to a mirror finish, looking to smarten up the engine bay a little.
will start with blue washer jet pipes and see where i end up

Nice car you have there ;)

How do you rate the Powerflow exhaust? thinking of getting one myself. I'm planning on cutting a hole in the black trim on the rear bumper and having a single pipe coming through. I ended up cracking my last exhaust on a speed bump which is why i want it to exit higher up.

Also did you upgrade your shocks? Mines lowered by 50mm but i think the shocks and springs are probably coming to an end... The downside of living in the country :(

Thank you :D

My powerflow exhaust is pretty good imo nice rumble on tick over and when you give it some it makes a nice deep note , on the motorway it can become a little annoying but its fine. When you go to get one fitted you can customise the look and the sound to your own taste. .if you have the sporting / abarth bumpers ? It looks good to have one out of each hole (see picture ) , But its all down to personal preference
The springs im running at the moment are spax 50mm springs with brand new rear shocks and nearly new front shocks. Im not happy with how they feel atm , but put this down to the springs being second hand. I currently have on order a set of eibach sport lines (out of stock at demon tweaks )which i will combine with blistein lowering shocks . This should make the ride alot better

Have you got a thread for your car ?

Nice! How much did the exhaust cost you? I like the look of one exit like in the picture :)

I'll probably upgrade the shocks then since the last owner put the springs on just over a year ago.

Haven't got round to doing a thread yet but just need some more decent photos when the car is clean and my mates haven't drawn pictures in the dust

I cant quite remember now but think it was around 150-200 that was for backbox and middle section. With the choice of tip i wanted.
The one in that picture would take quite a bit of modification imo due to space .

Upgrading the shocks is probably a good idea although depending on if yiu wanted to go lower than 50mm you could buy some coilovers.

Well good afternoon guys I bought a new phone yesterday and hadn't got a lot to do today so went to take a few new pictures ( car is dirty in pictures , although it doesn't look it )

Also you won't be able to fit vented discs as they are thicker than the standard solid discs but any solid drilled/grooved discs will fit.

I'd personally go with Brembo Max discs with EBC Greenstuff pads if you really want to spend the money.

Drilled and grooved ones look awesome!

They do but I don't think I would really benifit from them with it being only an 1.2 8v.

I think I'm going to stick to OEM for the moment as with it being only an 8v I don't think I will really feel the benefit . Im going to get some bosch brake discs and then maybe go for greenstuff pads .

Is that rust? I had the same problem and I painted with rust converter and with original color. You should paint this;)

Haven't fitted them myself but Brembo are about as good as it gets, they've gone into the mass market replacement business as well as top-end OEM stuff.

Even if you just got their standard items you'd be doing well, I've got Brembo stuff on my Cagiva bike and it's excellent, just spent £70 on 3 new sets of their original pads (2 front 1 rear) and decided not to "upgrade" to hotter pads.

Mind you a lot of it is in the mind, my Brava has cheap "trade" discs and pads by Braking I think, I've cleaned and greased them and ground off the rusty lips on the discs, and they feel fantastic (I also changed the front hoses that survived over 13 years from new).
