Grande Punto My 2008 S2 Grande Punto T-Jet.

Introduction

Hi all,

after being on here for a while, but contributed little, so thought I would say hello and show off my car.
It's a 2008 Series 2 GP T-Jet in New Orleans Blue with "soft touch" indicators, Rear parking sensors, 5 spoke, two-tone alloy wheels and the italian flag side stripes.

mod wise @ purchase, it has smoked rear lights, EBC grooved and drilled discs teamed with EBC Greenstuff pads.

Since I bought it I have installed new Bosch Aero wipers all round, new Pirelli P Zero Nero GT tyres all round, installed a vacuum boost gauge, replaced the ARB drop links and new gearbox oil.

On the update list is to install a forge intercooler, forge swaybars, an abarth (or equivalent) GP exhaust system, VL36/8 turbo, remap, stiffer springs (may already be done), teamed uprated shock absorbers (possibly Bilsteins)
I'm lucky enough to be in a position that with all of my outgoings, it still have £500+ a month to get by on.
Unfortunately insurance, tax and xMOT is up soon:( that's about £1000, right on Christmas too:(.
The mods will wait until after:)!
The T-Jets are fantastic cars, if a little thirstier than I first thought.

It's been a while since I last updated this. Well, not a lot has happened really just been running the car and repairing little things that needed doing: Clutch, DMF, New tyres and so on.

Apart from this.

This happened on Friday..

A new custom cat-back courtesy of Infinity Exhausts in Bristol!
It sounds brilliant! A quiet burble on tick over, but when you open the taps up, sounds sweet:D

As I'm a member of Punto Enthusiasts on Facebook, we had a little meet in Cheddar on Saturday. Great day, some amazing cars, and some brilliant drives!

View attachment 142190 after many scathed knuckles and much black hands I now have a working boost gauge! It boost to 12psi, over boosts to 14/16:)

View attachment 142191 this May throw up some eyebrows but I've also installed a mini 0801 dash cam. Took around 20 minutes and have caught some sketchy moments.

Do you mind me asking which dash cam you have?
Have you hard wired it into the car to turn on and off with the ignition?

I have a Mini 0801 (Older model, 0803 is much improved)

I have it running into the cig lighter by the handbrake. It's much easier than hard wiring it, and doesn't cause many issues.
I had to replace the cable twice, due to my cock ups (leaning on it)

It comes on and off with the ignition, but the speaker has just blown on it, so sounds awful, but still works fine.
