Seicento White Seicento from Slovenia

Introduction

Seicento CUP

Hi to all, it`s been a year ago since I bought myself a second car for trackdays.
Since I wanted a small car the Seicento was a great choice. In Slovenia we had in 1999 - 2001 a Seicento CUP so this cars are every now and then for sale. The Seicentos are already a little bit modified and some of them also road legal.

Ok enough with talking let the pictures do the rest.

The fron ARB from Punto GT didn't fit. It is too wide I still doesen't know how it was instaled on Cinquecento I must call the guy who sold it to me. For now we put back the original ARB with Strongflex bushes.

After the wheel alignment I washed the car and done a quick fotoshoot.

Front lower strut link was also made and mounted.

Instead of Sporting emblem I change it with Trofeo

Brace is made from Mondeo mk2 wagon rear lower brace. It was shortened to the correct size and a new ears for mounting were welded and also the bolts were changed with longer ones.

I think that the steering hub is from OMP it was already mounted in the car when I bought it.

There has been a few updates since the last post.

I put the Martini stripes on the car. Always wanted them.

I also found after two years of searching them (there weren't so many Seicentos whit this bumpers sold in Slovenia) the new Sporting/Abarth bumpers and side skirts. They came with out of the front mesh but I will try to fit honeycomb style mesh in it.

The biggest project for this year is an P75 engine with my Colombo Bariani camshaft and a bigger TB, ported head. And everything will be controlled over with DET3. The engine will be completely rebuild. I am hoping for great a numbers in HP

Thanks

blu73 I always preferred the new ones probably because there are a few of Seicentos in our county with this kind of bumpers.

Just a question if anybody knows the engine mounts from 1.1 engine fit bolt on on 1.2 P75 engine. And is the P75 transmition any better than from Seicento because now I have them both and don't know which is better to use.

yes, swap engine mount over and it will fit straight in... i would just stick with the cento box if there is nothing wrong with it, i think they have a shorter final drive resulting in quicker acceleration but lower top speed. Never found anywhere with a list of all the gearbox ratios, but i do know the seicento abarth had slightly shorter gearing so it wasn't slower than the normal sporting with bigger wheels.

Still didn't find the time to put it on. The bar is to wide just to put it on it needs a little bit of modification. But we are thinking that the easiest way will be to put the torsion bar on as it was in Grupo A Cinquecentos. But I am searching for exact pictures how that is made the only picture that I have is a scared page from a FIA homologation. Maybe someone have a better picture or has the bar already on the car.

I have one question. I have been searching through all forum but I didn`t found the correct thread.

I am thinking of front brake conversion and all I could found was to go with GT brakes and a bigger wheels. But this is not ok for me because I use 13" tyres for track. Is it possible to fit some other calipers with vented disc from some other Fiat under 13" wheel.

I noticed that someone did install AR 145 front discs under 13" wheel but I cant find the thread with this information. Does anybody know where to find it.

Thank you.

as above, uno turbos work.. but easier to source would be more modern ones, i don't have a list of cars they are on but things like new 500 and panda have vented fronts and fit under 13s - i was reading it on a uno turbo owners group on facebook. In both instances i believe you have to space either the disc or caliper is it all sits properly with the disc in the middle of the caliper but thats easily sorted.

If you want really good brakes though i would look at some aftermarket calipers, like wilwoods - some simple adaptor plates will be required to bolt them too as with most aftermarket caliper upgrades but a solid caliper rather than a floating one will not only give better performace but will be a significant reduction in unsprung weight which is always a very very good thing, particularly in a race car. There is a significant reduction in weight to be had converting the rear to disc and caliper too, and better resistance to fade unde rthe stresses on track conditions - you don't need massive brakes out back though. I believe the PGT rears will fit under 13s no problem, you need mounting brackets and to modify the handbrake cable to suit, been covered on here plenty of times so have a search.

Hi.
I am using 13 inch wheels too with vented and grooved solid disc of standard size with fast road pads. I have noticed a difference but have decided that any more improvement with 13 inch wheels will need aftermarket calipers as blu73 said. I was looking at classic minis as they run 13's as a maximum so I thought the disc and calipers size could be similar.
Tell me, what are the White 5 spoke wheeling the picture? They look good, I have not found many nice styles available in 13 inch. Are they Fiat bolt pattern or from another car?
Thanks

Thanks for the answers. I will probably try to find Uno Turbo ones or something from Frit that will suit in the front. For the rear I was thinking to move the front brakes from Seicento to back.
f1ian - I have the same set up now with Goodridge lines and ATE Super blue racing oil. But I am upgrading the engine to P75 (bigger TB, Colombo Bariani cam, conversion to MPI with pigyback, ported head, 4-2-1 exaust manifold) and will probably need bether brakes. :)

For the wheels they are from company BWA and were made in Italy. Only 500 pieces of them were made specialy for a Seicento CUP here in Slovenia. The spokes were extra siffened for racing. They are Fiat pattern everything is the same as the Sporting 13" wheel only the ET is a bit different.

they are the ones i was referring to, they must be on other cars too though - i bet alot of the new 500/pandas have them calipers - but i don't know of a definitive list of cars.

I have a 1.3 mjet 500 which has what i think are them brakes, and i must say i think the brakes are kinda crap on that car, i don't know how much it weighs but new cars are heavy whether they are little or not so clearly they would be better on cento... I would also say that I've had the 500 since february this year, never looked at the brakes yet and have no idea what brand disc and pads it has so that might just be the issue i have with them - they stop pretty decent once or twice and then they are just rubbish which is basically heat, so very well could be with a decent set of pads it would be much better.
