Panda Yet another 100HP

Introduction

He's home. (y)

Only just got back, so this is a rush. The lightest clutch and steering wheel in the world. I haven't tried sport yet.

It is a little bouncy, but not that hard... However, those bloody brick speedbumps that are outside my house are a nightmare. I have to drive over them at 1MPH.

The sub doesn't do anything until the EQ is in 'Rock' then it gets a bit loud. :D

Tiny mirrors are very very tiny.

I'm working tomorrow afternoon, he must be washed and polished before I show him off. :p
Took it to show a friend last night, for some strange reason people don't find the stripe offensive. I am going to rip this off ASAP, however, because it's 6 years old. Will you be able to tell? Will the paint be super white underneath? Is the hot water method the easiest and leaves no glue residue?

I wanted to hear the Italian woman, now she just randomly shouts words at me, even though my phone bluetooth is off. :D
It has the Skydome, Pandamonium, sub, autochanger and I think it has the Fiat accessory pedals too.

Why does this shape Panda have the rev counter and speedo the wrong way around? :bang:

Woke up earlier than I should have, i'd like to blame the headache I woke up with. But, it might have been my body wanted to mess with the car. (y)
If I can find the car cleaning stuff, i'll give it a once over and take some more pics.

Nice one on getting the car finally. I think the red stripe if much more offensive then the silver stripe that was on my car.

Many different methods but I just peeled mine off with the assistance of a hair dryer. Only little bit of excess residue was removed with poorboys polish with carnuba wax. You should be ok without a colour difference from fading but you won't be able to tell fully until you remove it.

good picture location, the steering wheel looks a bit worn how many miles has it done?

43k, it's as if it's been stretched. The entire wheel is very slightly tacky. I also thought they were leather?

I thought the autochanger removal would take "10 minutes" 3 weeks later it is out of the car. Many lovely holes are now at the back the glove box.(n) I'm assuming I can just plug one of those blaupunkt aux cables in and leave that in the glove box?

I'm respraying the top part of the gearknob as it has become worn.

my wheel still looks like new, but then again my car is a bit newer being a 2010 covering only 14k miles. I keep the wheen topped up with some leather treatment/care but if it peels i will get it re trimmed as the delamination looks horrible and would spoil the rest of the interior.

I'd be more worried about the rust on the tailgate and the glue. Did it not get alarm bells ringing when the badges on the rear were incorrectly positioned ??

The glue will come off with tar and glue remover, I thought the flag was hiding something. But it's the panda and 100hp badges that have caused the rust. There's also a dent on the boot. It'll get mended at some point.

Now, everybody states the car comes alive after 5k rpm. I don't think I'd had it about 3.5/4.
Until tonight, I was on a road which has a police station on it, hit just over 5k and the car seemed to come alive.... Then I saw an Octavia coming the other way, I slowed down, luckily it was just a taxi.

Yeah I found this old thread. At least i'm not alone.

It's Bicast leather - like your shiny cheaper model leather settees in the local DFS. Basically very thin leather glued to some other crap

I think they delaminate when the user has splashed too much Old Spice and the alcohol separates the two sides of the leather. Get yer nose to it and I bet it smells like Gene Hunt out on a promise.

Nice car though. Keep it debadged!
