Punto (Mk2/2b) My Punto MK2b

Introduction

Hi everyone,
Its not the first time I've showed off a new Fiat on this forum! I used to have a poor little '99 Seicento Sporting Abarth but its was pretty toast.. So now I've got a new baby, its newer and bigger...
A MK2b '03 Punto Active Sport 1.2 8v.. I've driven it once so far and I'm already hooked.. just can't get enough of these little Italian cars!

Regards,
Rhys
Another massive change to my car! It's something that I've been after for a long, long time now. I'm so pleased with how it looks, now my Punto looks as if it belongs to me so much more! And I also think I come into an elite group now too! The personal number plate brigade!!

What do you guys think?

Just had a bath:

I absolutely love the seats, they seem to get more and more comfy the longer you sit in them.

I'm definitely gunna wire up the seats! Any tips?

I've changed back to the original centre console for one reason only.. Cup holders! I've been doing so much motorway driving recently, it just felt like such a pain to not be able to take a drink with me, so I thought why not change to my old console until I can get a Sporting one.

not sure how the seats would be wired up, im sure some people on here have done it so there should be a guide or something somewhere

i thought you may have changed centre console because the hgt one was to big for the seats or something

I would imagine the seats just have to be connected to a power source. As the button is on the seat for on and off.

Just had a few new jobs to tackle...
Ever since I brought the car I had realised a bit of water sitting around in the offside indicator lens. So me being me, I thought when I brought the car; I'll sort it ASAP, its an easy job.. But 3 months down the line and I've only just got to it. When I started looking properly at it, I realised it had a small crack in the lens, this was obviously where the water was getting in.. So I took the indicator out, released the lens and set about taking it apart to dry and possibly fix the damage. I dried out all the sections of it and (as a quick fix till I buy a new one or visit a scrapy) I put a tiny piece of clear double sided tape over the crack on the inside. At least it'll stop water getting in for the moment.

The second job was an idea I'd had recently that I'd seen on a few of my friends cars.. A Xenon or clear white number plate bulb. So I wielded my trusty Haynes manual and got to it.. In pretty much the dark (classic Rhys common sense). Obviously it was an easy job but I'm still not impressed.. The bulb is obviously not blue enough because it doesn't seem to be a difference. See for yourself in the pictures to follow...

I'd appreciate your opinions..

Rhys

Nope, never got round to fitting an induction kit.. I've heard quite a few horror stories about it making the car run worse and go slower.. Kind of put me off a little bit.

Think I'm gunna get my brother to wire them up for me. Just get it into a 12v feed and earth it on the chassis. Should be good :)
