Bravo My White Bravo T-Jet :)

Introduction

Thought I'd share my first car! Saved for 3 years (I'm 19) and bought it a few months ago. Honestly love it more than anything I've ever had and despite some small flaws, it's gives me such happiness when I drive it. Here's some pics of the car in stock form (ignore the small dent from an asshole in a parking lot) ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1385457917.428865.jpg ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1385457938.957691.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1385457954.695211.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1385457994.000139.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1385458008.195818.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1385458021.920675.jpg
Hi Daniel, your new car looks great. (y)

I'm just an ever so teeny weeny bit older than you. Here's a pic of my first car to give you a clue. ;) But it was equally as well looked after as yours at the time. It's nice to see that some things just don't change. Look after it and take plenty of pics along the way. Maybe you'll be having the same lol with someone else in about 35 years or so. :)

Got any plans for modding it yet? I fitted seatbelts to mine, back in the day. You wouldn't want to have a crash in one of those things. :D

Never seen the colour/wheel combo you have, looks good! Is it an active/dynamic or sport? I see it's a tjet 150 as well, same as mine....nice!

My first car as well, registration HOP754E.

The letters spelled HOPE, which is what I did when driving it.

Hope it starts
Hope it keeps going
Hope it stops
Hope my foot doesn't go through the floor
Hope I survive.......................

After I'd had the car about 9 months, I noticed part of the sill section hanging down. On closer inspection, it was part of a Corn Flakes packet and some underseal

Lucky bugger. None of the previous owners had made any efforts to strengthen the one I bought. :D

Very simple way to know what model it is from the outside is by looking at the spoiler, if it has one then it's sport. If it doesn't have a spoiler look at the side windows and door handles. If they are chrome it's a dynamic if there is no chrome and the door handles are colour coded it's an active :)

So in this case he has a dynamic 150. I believe it's a 150 as the t-jet writing is red. Where as the 120 is silver writing.

I also believe that this is a rare car as you don't get many 150 dynamic models.

And might I add. What a lovely car Daniel. The White is a gorgeous colour on the Bravos curves. I wish my first car was a bravo lol. I had to suffer through a vauxhall corsa. Then I had a grande Punto. Then suffered miserably through a new Megane and then finally got to my Bravo. I've wanted one of these for about 4 years though. So now I've got one I'm in love even more.

Guess mine is a rare one as well then! (with the nice extras of leathers and parking sensors!)

Good to know. I have a dynamic 150 :)

Looks like my quote about the dynamic 150 may be a bit off then haha. I tell you what though I spent a good 6 months looking for my car and I never once came across a dynamic 150 in my 20 mile radius search zone, they must be rare in the West Midlands only haha. But everything else I said is correct regarding telling the differences between models. Like I said I spent a long time looking for a bravo

Haha thanks for all the kind words guys!! I absolutely love the colour of this car, it's perfect.

Yeah it is a dynamic. I live in Australia, so all the T-Jets here were the 150 version, regardless of the spec.

As for mods, I've got some tarox discs and pads in mind, the eibach pro kit and a BMC filter replacement. I am also trying to track down the 17inch sport rims to fill the arches a bit more.

I'll update the post as they come!

I'm struggling to find any good rims in Australia at the moment, regardless of the size. And very few aftermarket wheels suit a bravo

My dad actually has a set of the OEM Sport rims sitting in his garage, not too sure if he'd be keen to part with them though.

4x98 stud pattern is annoying though, you could always use wobble bolts to run 4x100 wheels? Stock Abarth 500 17" rims should also fit.

Wow that's basically what I'm looking for! Where are you located? I'd be happy to make him an offer :p

Finally an update. Unfortunately my springs and air filter haven't arrived yet and it was a quiet day in the workshop so I threw on my new pads and rotors. OEM rotors with a Brembo pad (all I could really find aftermarket in Aus). Cleaned up the calipers nice for painting when I have time! Ok another update. Parts finally arrived! Installed my BMC air filter. Overall a small change in noise, bit more of an induction growl more than anything, and it almost seems like louder turbo noise. There also seems to be an improvement on throttle response, but I'll see how it goes ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1387544663.274528.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1387544686.275757.jpg

More mods to come! Next is my AUX cable and eibach springs!

Ok finally had time for an update. First thing first I painted my calipers red ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1388130661.284938.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1388130679.107261.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1388130697.855165.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1388130734.221385.jpg

I also finally had time to put my eibach springs in ImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1388130803.384592.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1388130823.753916.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1388130844.166226.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1388130858.627806.jpgImageUploadedByFIAT Forum1388130874.524132.jpg

To anyone with a bravo, I cannot recommend this upgrade enough! Makes the car so much more responsive, agile, adjustable and fun to drive! Plus of course, with the ugly gaps gone, the car looks the business. One day I'll upgrade my dampers but I'm seriously impressed with how the ride hasn't been upset that much by the new springs. Keep you guys posted!
