Clumsy driver scuffs on passenger side back wheel arch ( Just going to Tcut as I'm not allowed to spend out on larger repair jobs )

A Couple of thoughts
1. New wheel trims
2. Paint the wheel itself (Black)
3. A cheep set of Alloys

Possibly replace the badges ( Any Ideas?)

Replace the Number plates front and back nothing fancy just standard as the last plate change I did kept getting me pulled by the police

Bird Crap damage 1 Roof

Bird crap damage 2 Roof going to have to rub it down prime and spray don't want to do a full respray ( couldn’t afford to )

Any idea of the colour match for a Mk1Punto???

Most of the stuff i'm going to be doing will be cosmetic but other ideas that don't cost the earth are welcomed.

Jobs planed

1. Break lines replaced
2. Steering reset Steering wheel not sat straight
3. Possible break shoe and pad replacement
4. Gator replacement (red leather)
5. Replace bonnet badge with round badge I'm sure I can't use a Mk2 badge think you need the Seicentohttp://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/370847506680?ssPageName=STRK:MEWAX:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1438.l2649 badge?
6. Engine Steam Clean ( Not sure though )

Main Issues inside the car Cigarette burns on all the seat two thoughts

1. Replace all seats ( Will Mk 2 seats go into a Mk1?
2. Get some seat covers Probably the cheapest option

Anyway I'm open to ideas on best way forwards

The issue with spraying only the roof is that it will be near impossible to match the colour of the car as will have faded.

Also for the other bits spending a little more you will definatly feel the benefits rather than doing things as cheep as possible.

Only real issue with a full respray is money and justification IE I can't justify the expense.

Whilst I understand the paint won't be a full match If I can get it as close as possible then with a polish and waxing I will be happy with it rather than how it looks now. The previous owner made a start on sorting the damage on the roof I didn't put the picture up and I think I can get an acceptable result just need to find out the code for the spray.

I am on warning from my wife not to spend out on the car so anything I do has to meet with her approval :D:D

Ok nothing major but my own little touch to remove that tinny sound you get from the stock speakers. :)

Ok she's booked in the garage for this Friday where she's having the front brake pipes replaced.

Tracking done

A new key cut and the coded key hidden in the car.

We had a good look under her on the ramps she has had extensive welding done both sills full length and a large hole repaired behind the drivers seat however no undersealing has been done, he recons quite recently ( and a good job been done he recons ) so this is being done by hand on Friday too.

To be honest I may stay and help out with the work if he will let me as I've known the guy a good few years now and he has always done a spot on job and as this is a little project I want to get a bit hands on and pick up some tips along the way?

The work is costing £125 the most expence is on the break pipes at £45 each.

Next Job Rear suspension springs

Got a set of red leather gaiters on order to ( By the way how do you replace the Gaiter on the handbreak and how do I remove the gearknob? )

If you paint the roof and can't get a colour match your happy with, you could vinyl wrap the roof in black or some thing so the colour mismatch looks deliberate instead of patchy.

Just Googled Vinyl wrapping interesting idea worth a thought.

Ive not tried Vinyl wrapping myself but have seen a few people on the forum have had a go and were happy with the results.
I only mentioned it as an option if you repair the bird poo damage and find you can't blend in the new paint with the old. Wouldn't bother me but I know it'd drive others crazy

£90 for both front pipes no kidding I think they are gold plated with diamonds. Been that long since I touched a break system the wife wants the garage to do it rather than me so what can you do?

Bill

Not happy today.

My son in law came last night to drop something off and when he went he left the gate open. We had strong winds last night and the gate has swung open and hit the passenger side wing denting it and chipping the paint.

Accidents happen but the annoying thing is the wife pipes up bearing in mind I’m slightly miffed and says it's not that bad get the garage guy to put some paint on it??

She then gets narked with me because "I'm going on" and upsetting her before she goes into work.

Sod the fact that if I had caused that damage to my daughters car I’d be getting it right in the neck.

So annoyed at the moment.

Update:

I'm the bad guy now with my daughter too as the son in law denies he left the gate open ( although I saw him unlock it to come up the path and no body else came after him )

You got to love being a parent :)
