Hi just bought a 01 sciento sporting, its two toned yellow bumpers and boot red in middle. She's mint 68 k miles and gettin loads of attention. But i cant find any info bout it. Its completely standard xcept stereo has leccie fold back sunroof can anyone help!!!

What do you want to know? Sound like a sporting with the optional canvas roof

Look in FAQs for the seicento bio or wikipedia

Looked on loads of sites. I know its original 2 colour from factory but cant find any others of the sporting on net.just curious bout it!!

Post a picture of it - sportings didnt come in 2 tone colours so yours could be either faded paint or a bad repair and respray job

Check the colour codes on auto and reg document.

i agree with the general consensus here, its just has yellow bits put on it. And from that picture i'd say that roof is not the option roof but rather an aftermarket item like a webasto that has been retro-fitted, but its not the best pic so i might be wrong there.

Some red bumpers and bootlid and that will be a nice looking little car though (y) as it is, if i spotted it i would have thought, crash repaired straight away.

I thought that aswell and had it checked out not crashed, the reg docs have it as red yellow sporting ltd edition!

Well seems strange to me that it would even mention it on the V5. Seicento Abarths were just Seicento Sportings on V5 documents (or all the ones i have seen are) being that it is just a sporting with some extras. Yours would just be a sporting with different coloured bits so not sure why they would feel the need to differentiate it from a sporting. Even on my seicento which was imported and i wrote seicento abarth in the model box, it still just says sporting on my V5.

Added to all that, the two-tone limited edition was not ever available on a sporting - it was a 1108 (between 2001-2003) and was essentially a 's' with the 2tone paint. And i believe it has a badge specific to the 2tone on the back.

The V5c needs to be updated of you change the colours the Guv site says red at front and blue at back as example... donno if they would accept polka dot...

The tailgate should have a silver sticker on inside near hinge with one or two colours.

A non sporting may have different inner drive shaft gaitors I'd check them first and if they have oil on them check the gearbox oil level.

The roof may have a name plate on it

a CoC (Certificate of Conformity) will tell you everything possibly imaginable about the car when it left the factory. Fiat should be able to provide you one, but i warn you it can be a right hassle, i needed one to register my seicento from Jersey. Its so many years ago now though i can't remember exactly how i got it.

Thanks for all the info and help, i'm from ireland and we bought the car cause it was different, just sold a 210 bhp r5 gt turbo got the seicento as a run around for d wife and after a few moded motors that i had they dident get d looks this got. As it's original (as far as i can find out) was courious to find any info, any way am hooked on fiats now, great forum here.
