Punto (Mk2/2b) my yellow ting

cheers benny. (y)

yeah the engine bay is clean, it wasnt when igot it tho,
it was full of years worth of Ming. its easy and cheap to get them clean tho.

Anyplans.
idont know.imight leave it as standard >im tempted to fit a rear bumper off a mk2 b and back lights. iwas tempted to sell it and buy a mk2b but
idont like the front end on them,

Yeah MK2B's are nice but fronts has always put me off :(

But that would look pretty cool, find a MK2B broom yellow and nab the rear bumper!

As for colour coding mirrors, it always looks the nuts, I did mine but have a few stone chips and now to add scruff marks cause some plonker drove that close to me and knocked it, driver didnt apologize his missus did, but thats going off subject :p

I say do it, subtle mods like that always make Puntos look good and stand out!

But as a light warning, when you start one mod you cant stop it becomes an addiction like gambling except money goes on the car no one elses gets your doe.

I'll shall look forward to seeing the progress of this Punto :)

Benny

Tbh. idont know wether to mod it or not yet, (colour coded mirrors and mk2b bumper might be on the cards tho,
upto now ive spent 3mth or so re-building it. at afew stages iwas itempted to get the stihl saw out and break it up,but ijust closed the garage door on it and left it for another day so to speak :(

it was a car we saved from going to the scrapyard.
it was a mess when igot it.engine was siezed as the mechanic who ibought it off put the head gasket on upside down blocking the oil ways, easy mistake tho. :(

the interior has been took out and steam cleaned, last owner a lady
had been using the punto for dogging in by the look of the seats :yuck:

I've found a mk2b sporting bumper
Its coming as a pair front and back.. any one know if the front mk2 b bumpers can be modified to fit the mk2 a.

Sorry: no. Totally different shape. You would have to change the wings, lights, bonnet, etc., as well....

Mk2b back bumpers fit (as you obviously know) -- but only if the cars have the same number of doors...! (y)

Update, igot the mk2b rearbumper fitted, only had it on less than a hour
and it was back off, they dont look right on the mk2a.

ive decided not to do anything else to it,it got a straight pass on the mot yesterday so im going to leave it alone

Congratulations on that! Mine passed earlier in the week, too...! :)

I don't suppose you took any photos of the bumper on...?

ive just orderd a set of these http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/121185102...X:IT&_trksid=p3984.m1439.l2649#ht_1160wt_1170

not sure if theyl look right tho,

anyone know of a source for winddeflectors ?

We've got a set of those on the Mk3 Panda. Not the best ones ever; but Mrs h is more than happy with them...! :D

I bought a set of four (my Punto's a five-door) Team Heko deflectors from Amazon for around £42, about a year ago, I think. Click on Priscilla's name, below: and it will take you to my Members Motors thread... -- they're in there, somewhere...! (y)
