Hi

I recently started experiencing a new fault on my Grande, after already having spending lots of money sorting out other issues:

New power steering unit (very good service & Price (Total £300) at Western Power Steering).
New ECU
New Fuse box

The problem is that at low rpm (below 1000) or idle/netural the engine seems to die. Followed by the battery light and oil pressue light. Not sure what the problem could stem from.

It seems to start to splutter, then the revs might jump (like you tapped the gas pedal quickly) then drop and die. Sometimes the rpm increase, then stick at a certain rpm without any input from the gas pedal at all.

The car is booked in for a full service next week at Concorde in Peterborough:

All filters
Cam belt & all pullys/tensioners etc
AUX belt
All Fluids
Oil
Sparks
New Tyres (running low)

Any help would be appreciated!

Thanks Andy!

I forgot to mention, the car is at 70k now, so a full service is kind of due.

However with the current problem, once the car is in motion it works completely fine, it only occurs when breaking and when the car is stationary.
