Cheers chaps i'll try and do some more location photo's when the weather picks up again.
Very nice, but i would change the mirrors to bigger (2010+) ones.
They are hideous, look oversize and out of place on the HP

The bigger ones are better, I can't see anything out of mine.....
Adjust them then, and move your head......easy.
Far easier than pretty much any classic car
The passenger side pillar being in the way complicates things slightly.
True, but least you have a chance of seeing things.
I had to fit parking sensors on the misses HP, the blind spot on them is also awful when merging on parkways.
Surely learning how big the car is, is far cheaper and more sensible a thing to do? If the mirrors are a problem for merging then you can always look over your shoulder you know.
What does that matter if you can't see what's going to hit you?

Some ppl are more than competent to drive and reverse with stock mirrors. Some cant and need extra aids. Same goes for pretty much everything. Some ppl are simply better than others at certain tasks.
I find size and visibility on my Panda extremely good compared to all the vans I used to drive.

This is my point, the panda has good all around visibility at least far better than a civic
