True, but least you have a chance of seeing things.

I had to fit parking sensors on the misses HP, the blind spot on them is also awful when merging on parkways.

Surely learning how big the car is, is far cheaper and more sensible a thing to do? If the mirrors are a problem for merging then you can always look over your shoulder you know.
 
I dont understand the argument...
Some ppl are more than competent to drive and reverse with stock mirrors. Some cant and need extra aids. Same goes for pretty much everything. Some ppl are simply better than others at certain tasks.

I find size and visibility on my Panda extremely good compared to all the vans I used to drive.

This is my point, the panda has good all around visibility at least far better than a civic
