My Orange Grande Punto

Gonna start doing some stuff to my GP so thought I'd start a thread to get some ideas on what to do and get people's opinions

Before spraying wheels and after, sprayed the wheels white to make it look more sporty

Re: My Orange Grande Punto

Let me know how much the springs affect your comfort and handling as I'm unsure if I want to lower the car.

Hard to say drove it from the garage to my house and it wasn't to bad at all, fine going over speed bumps and the roads in my area are full of pot holes and found it just like it was before. Handles brilliantly though understeers much less and has lowered but as they've not set yet they will go lower. Had a big grin on my face when it sticks around the roundabout. :D But like I've said not took it for a decent run yet so this is just my first impressions

Re: My Orange Grande Punto

Looks nice mate! :) How much were they to get fitted if you dont mind me asking? I need to get mine fitted next month :)

£60 including vat but I live in the north east so everything is that little bit cheaper up here down south your looking at a bit more

Re: My Orange Grande Punto

Im getting some sportlines the same as you mate :D

If I had the money I would have got the full coilover set as it allows you to adjust the height but i went for the cheaper way and just got springs since mine where trashed. Its amazing how much better the car handles.(y)

This is making me want to get some springs, it's just the insurance :(

I have been quoted for November (when I need to get insurance of my own as im on my grandmas atm) without mods from admiral at £1,700 but then i looked at mods such as springs, bumpers and alloys and Admiral came up as the best quote again at the same price so im guessing admiral wont charge any extra for lowering springs, Ask your insurer they may not charge you any extra

Re: My Orange Grande Punto

Next step is to get a new back bumper because the one I have now is a bit bumped and the fog light won't actually fit into the bumper as its bent. Need to find a new back bumper maybe of a breakers car to save spraying cost.

Re: My Orange Grande Punto

The p on the punto was loose so thought it would look better without the punto badge all together , before and after

Re: My Orange Grande Punto

Was so tempted to keep the grill off and see how many flies my car could eat but probably wouldn't be the best idea
