Nice clean car

Any plans for it, or keeping her standard?

well she needs some little jobs doing to her.

Needs a new filler cap flap, a little dent on the near side rear wing popping out and needs a good service as it aint been done in 15k.

After that, she is getting de-wipered, de-badged, 6k HID kit fitted. The windows are getting tinted after Christmas so that should keep me pleased for a while haha

Any other ideas are welcome

Colour code the door handles and fit some factory spec 17s and it will be indistinguishable from a sporting (with the possible exception of the ride height).

Forget the hids, they look pants with reflector lenses and will fail the new mot tests. There are lots of good high output halogen bulbs on the market.

what are good halogen bulbs, friends of mine have bought bosch and phillips, although ive never seen them when on, only when buying.

i obviously want the HID effect, but if i can get halogens that do near enough the same effect, thats even better, i dont have to mess about connecting to battery and hiding the ballasts.

And the door handles were another thing, i just forgot to mention

ive seen some badges on ebay, but obviously cant decide on what colour. I deffo have to go with white or red ones

Hey all

Its been a week or so since i started the thread so thought i would update on the car.

First, some idiot who owned this before had fiddled with the rear light electrics and not put the seals on the light clusters so the rain has got behind the lights and corroded the connector. i magically had brake lights and rear driving lights flashing instead of indicator, CONCLUSION....knackered earth point.




and here are just a few pics of the new stereo and the car. The fascia came in grey unfortunately but i will just spray it with dash paint from halfords ASAP. I had the front speakers changed aswell but i didn't take a photo of them.


I thought of a black vinyl roof, window tints and get some osram night breakers in the next week or so

Yeah I know, I can do the roof myself but I'm gonna see how much the windows will cost. Gonna debadge it aswell

Regarding bulbs you want to fit Ring Xenon Max or Osram Nightbreaker Plus bulbs. Not sure what you mean by HID effect unless you mean decent light output? But the above bulbs should do the job

cheers for the info mate. Would anyone know if GSR guy is still doing induction kits aswell?, if not, gonna get a enclosed one and fit it with a trumpet and cold are duct in the bumper, but cosmetic stuff needs doing first

Got a 2 subs and an amp from a friend from work today, 80 quid, and the amp was brand new in box

Fusion 10" 800W Sub

Sony 10" Xplod 400W Sub

Edge 800W Amp

Going sell the sony sub and put the money towards another Fusion unit i think due to the pioneer unit having 2 RCA outputs at the back


The speakers i put in the other day were some Vibe black air 6" units at the front and gonna get some rear ones next week

other day, Philips bluevisions and a set of 501 ultra bright smd/led bulbs from xenons online.

Good choice (same as mine haha) but plans sound good mate! If you're going for the black/red look then how about abarth headlights, vinyl around the licence plate and black wing mirror covers? Few ideas

the roof is getting done once the weather picks up.

Abarth lights are also on the cards when I get paid aswell, might fly eye a set aswell.

I really badly want the sporting interior also

Should end up a tidy gp when you're done with it a nice set of alloys would set it off nicely, I've done hardly anything to mine and everyone says it looks amazing, it's just the alloys! Haha

Just watch the fly eye, I'm not a fan of it on the front, it does dull your lights a bit and I just think it looks tacky close up, it good on rears though!
