Grande Punto (Abarth) My GPA SS

Last night my garage door blew down and smashed my rear window and drivers side rear light cluster as I was reversing in! Autoglass are sorting the window on Monday, anyone know where I can get a cheap light cluster? Plenty of standard GP one's on eBay but none for the AGP... don't fancy shelling out £100 for 2 new one's when I could just take both out and put standard one's in for about £40!

I don't normally do too much driving in Seaham rossul... usually from Eastlea to Asda! If you do see me give me a beep/flash and I'll stop for a chat!

That's really bad! Bet your heart just sank when you heard it smash! I will look out for you. I do about the same. Dalton le dale to Asda or the gfs. I will look put for you.

The window's now sorted and looking as good as new, just looking for an Abarth light cluster now. Luckily none of the paintwork got hit! Partsworld sell them at £100 for the pair, will look for a few weeks then go for that as a last resort.

After that I need some new tyres and a re-coating of the wheels. Stupid winter!

Try contacting parts world they might sell you one side. or try fiat. Car looks great by the way and the white wheels finnish it of nicely.

Well I've sent a letter of complaint into the council who own the garage in the vain hope I can get them to stump up to pay for the light! If not then £100 isn't too bad and I'm sure there'd be someone who needed a left one at some point so I could get some of it back!

Once I get her cleaned up and back to beauty I'll try to drag my arse to one of the local(ish) meets and be more social

And the bad luck continues... Someone's gone past with a trolley or something in Asda this morning and scraped the rear bumper! Got a 10 inch scrape right down the corner of it, it should touch up/buff out but it's gone down to the primer so it's going to be a faff on. It surprised me how thin the paint is on the bumper mind!

They say bad luck comes in threes so window, light cluster and bumper should cover it, now for some good luck please!!!

I do not understand how people can manage to hit a car with a trolley. Either they are thick as F@#& or they are stupid enough to let their kids push it. I hope you sort it out !

With the weather being like it is I've not even had a chance to get the car cleaned and fully assess the damage. Going to get myself a £300 runabout for next winter! :bang:

This is what I was thinking! It's done quite well in this snow mind, got up some good slopes! I worry about other drivers more than myself

I've got a tiny scuff on my rear bumper but yours sounds worse

hope you can get it sorted easily with some elbow grease

hey im sure i seen you tonight, was following from a19 slip round to the walk in centre. I was behind in my blue Mjet with fogs on, i would have flashed or beeped but i couldnt keep up! Just reignited my love for the abarths!

I like to get my foot down along there! Had a journey a few weeks back along to Gisburn via Harrogate, the road was amazing and the car loved it. Looks like the weather's FINALLY starting to clear so going to get my light and bumper sorted over the next few weeks. I'll keep an eye out for a blue mjet when I'm out and about!

Was your blue Mjet parked outside the cottages near the Times pub earlier tonight? May have seen that car there before but been on the lookout more recently!

Went to Ligh****er Valley today and had some great fun on the twisties near Ripon, then had some fun on the A19 with a BMW 535d, I lost quite badly in that though!

no thats not me, but I am along that way in dalton le dale. I bet! I went over to the dales near Leyburn when I first got the car, it was such a good drive, sun was shining and the roads were nice and twisty!

Haha I bet! It is always fun when doing that, obviously in a safe controlled manner!!

Haha I bet! It is always fun when doing that, obviously in a safe controlled manner!!

There was a blue mjet behind me about 15 minutes ago coming through westlea, I was in the woman's Panda though. Not sure if it was you or not, it looked very clean and looked after so might have been!

YES that was me, I saw you indicate to go into eastlea next to the walk in centre but then you cancelled it off and wave, I just thought that was to say, sorry my bad!

But yes that was mine! If you get up close to it, it is not as clean was meant to be cleaning it this weekend but man flu has got me! The panda looks very smart btw

Yeah that's my street, forgot that I had to go to her grans so made a last second change haha. Left the Abarth at home today as I'm carting party stuff about, rear doors took priority. Currently in the community centre at eastlea waiting for 37 kids to arrive for my little uns 5th birthday.... argh!!!

you could have took the Abarth, yes might not have been able to get as much in but you could have done at least two trips with the speed of the Abarth over one with the Panda. Hope it wasn't too noisy for you!
