Hi all.

I know i have already asked about this before but i have a better description that you might understand better than previously mentioned.

the car is a Cinquecento 1994 900cc.

driving in a strait line the steering is fine. then when you turn left then back strait again the car still wants to turn left, this stays like this for about 1/4 mile or so, then back to normal.

this happens every time you turn left (according to the misses)

the car has recently had 2 new front top mounts fitted, and new brake pads.

i have checked the brake pads are not sticking and all seems fine.

the problem seemed to start when the top mounts were done but ATS or Kwik fit cant find anything wrong with it.

is it possible that something is 2 tight or sticking on the left and is taking a while to get strait?

Thanks

You need to accertain exactly what is happening.

Find a car park, turn left, straighten the wheel and stop immediately.

If the wheels look as if they are still turned you have a steering defect, don't drive the car, get it recovered.

If the wheels are straight, jack the nearside of the car and check that the front wheel spins freely

There is a possibility that in changing the top mounts your fitter has not supported the brake hose and the stretching has caused a bit of the inside of the hose to separate causing a 'non return' issue with the brake fluid.

Cheers

Ok Thanks,

I will have a go. i suppose there is always the possibility that the brake hose is trapped between something causing slow back pressure?
