Panda My Green Panda!.

Introduction

Hey! thought i would start a progress thread on my Panda i bought two weeks ago:D

Few weeks ago i was looking for a car and very nearly bought a 1980's Nissan Micra, but the sale didn't happen as the guy couldn't get the V5.
So i went back on ebay and found a 04 Green Panda in leeds being broken because the power steering didn't work, so i gave him a call and offered £850 and he accepted so the next day i was 300miles from home in my panda!(y)

Then drove 3miles down the road and broke down:rolleyes: so got dad under the bonnet and after playing with the loom we found if the loom was held towards the front the car worked (enough). So tied the loom with a hair-band we found in the car and drove 300miles home:yum:

Gave the car a service and a thermostat as it was running cold and the car worked great, went to change the oil peeled back some of the flakey paint on the sump and it turned into a sieve! So replaced that and now the car is running perfect!

Enough of the boring stuff heres some pics!:slayer:

Day i got it..

Re: My Green Panda!

Epic bargain. I'm just gonna say, I reckon some black 5 spoke speedlines from the Alfa 155 would go with the green. I also know they are a direct fit :) Although hard to get hold of.

Re: My Green Panda!

I like the colour !!
Although its needed a bit of TLC, the body looks very good.

Any rust on the floorpan? I'm just wondering whether I should be giving my Panda a corrosion check and if there are any places susceptible to rust.
Keep up the good work
Richard

Re: My Green Panda!

Well it was sitting in someones garden, in the grass (rusty sump) and the shell it self is perfect, not a spec of rust on it(y)
It was there for about 8months.

I need to replace the rear bumper as thats creased and cracked in several places, the front one has a deep scratch down one side an the paint is just tatty on the bumpers. I might just do base spec black plastic ones, and do some updated red fiat badges.
Get a black an green theme going:rolleyes:
