Introduction

Well, First off, I'd like to start with the car I've left behind, The astra:

I liked her at first but then it turned out to cost good money after bad, so time to get rid... And her replacement is:

Have a few plans, I have ordered rear mudflaps, new DRL's and sidelights, A de-tango will be happening soon aswell. Clear fog light will also be happening. Lowering wont be happening any time soon but to be honest, there isn't a huge arch gap (IMO). A "WITB" will be posted later :devil: Oh and looking to push around 175-180 from her... shouldn't be hard ;)

What do you guys think and any other plans?
Lovely motors mate :D!! I'm not sure how easy it is to get the evo multiair turbo upto that power but it can't be much different to a t-jet mod wise, the good thing you have you won't have to upgrade your turbo :), do some research see how you get on :)!
 
To be honest, if 165 isnt hard to reach (a tuning box) then a full exhaust system, turbo back style will get to roughly 172-175

Modify the intake with larger intercooler and panel filter. Upto roughly 180 :)

Nice choice! I also went from vauxhall to Fiat.
i had a Corsa SRI it too turned into a money pit as its first MOT commenced...
Good choice there, think they look great in red!!
 
Gaz, I've been on here for years??? Had 2 puntos prior to the astra...

Anyway, Got my mudflaps, needing fitted though and got my "tuning e stile" powerbox fitted :D

Got MTEC T20 superwhite DRL's and fitted.

I didnt realise how much a difference the box would make but by christ...........

Next on the list is a FMIC (Forge seems to be looking good) and clear rear foglight unit. Was considering an abarth badge grill but had a closer look and it wont fit :(

Custom exhaust will be priced later on and induction kit of some sort (K&N i57 I think @ £95) after the scottish italian car day.

Is there really anything else worth doing?

I have just finished another little touch tonight.
I colour coded (in pearlescent white) the blue&me control button surrounds on the steering wheel… in my opinion well worth doing. :D
 
Would look nice in white as the ambient lighting, inside door handle and that silly white accent, but to be fair, I have too much going out for the next two weeks so nothing is being fitted until atleast april when I have some money spare again.

But the forge intercooler is the only one on the market thats a direct fit (£330), I've never fitted an intercooler yet but my mates got an astra coupe turbo thats going to phase 3.5 or something so got injectors, AFM, intercooler and the pipe work to play with.
 
No new pics yet as she's dirtier than a tipper (Truck)

New plans though are as follows:

Garrett GT1446 if i can get a hold of one
Gloss black vinyl'd roof, not keep on matt
200 Cell sports cat
Titanium catback (If I can afford it, if not custom stainless catback)
Maybe a slight drop aswell (20-30mm)
CC'd crome thingy on front bumper
Box has been removed as thats what caused my ECU to fry, in process of getting money back for it
FMIC somewhere down the line aswell

Did you fit the K&N induction kit in the end? Want to fit something but don't want any turbo chatter as a result. They are the only ones that seem to do a kit specifically for the Evo Turbo.

Doesn't matter what kit you use you'll hear turbo chatter, only way you wont is to stick to an ungraded panel filter.
 
Well, Vinyl'd roof, CC'd chome thingy and full exhaust will be done this year sometime but not sure when though.

Im thinking of just getting the K&N panel filter. Its £50 cheaper and does the same thing but without the noise. Just take the airbox intake pipe off the box and attach a pipe to it as where its located doesn't help the cars breathing at all.
 
Heres my new exhaust :) not finished yet, need to find a 18MM thread boss for 2nd sensor on decat pipe and a emulator.

Custom built 2 1/4 inch (About 57mm) with center box removed. Standard Cat and flexi pipe. £400 for it so can't complain :)

Any comments welcome :)
