Punto (Mk2/2b) Raul's Punto

Introduction

Here's my first car; Fiat Punto 1.2 8v

Completely standard as I bought it:

at MitCar 2011:

Painted the Fiat badge:

Changed the front seats:

didnt want to get rid of the originals so a little DIY time :p:

finally got around to changing the rear seats too:

and that's all for now.
I have bought some Sporting alloys, new brake discs, drums, shoes and pads to put on but I will do that in spring time as I don't want to curb the alloys in the snow (y)
Sorry if im too late, just see your last post.

Fitting fog lights is as easy as you think, ive not done a punto but ive done many others.

Last one i did for a mate, was a Corsa C. Luckily the wiring was all there, all i needed was a switch unit and the lights themselves, the bumper "blanks" popped out and all went in, small amount of wiring and done!

If you need help and advice while doing it, i'll be more then happy to assist you on here.

Depends how thorough you want to be, but whether you want to use your bumper or get a second hand one with fog light holes already, i suppose thats down to your level of DIY skills.

If you take your bumper off, behind where the fog lights should be, will usually be markings of where the factory has printed, if there is you basically cut them out and put them in, and some semi-difficult wiring. You would need the switch, but i belive in the mk2 its just a button like mine, right? Anyway, if you do wanna do this, you'll need a RELAY which costs about £3 or so, you'll need it for the high power consumption of the bulbs

Good luck buddy, really liking your punto (y)

Small update.
Right, so because I didn't get the Abarth alloys as the seller sold them to someone else instead, I have bought a set of sporting alloys instead and sold the three HGT alloys to get my money back.
These alloys are in quite good condition with minor scuffs, so I don't need to refurb them. Maybe when I get time, I'll do it. :)

The list of stuff to do just grows though. I have recently bought all the stuff to change the input shaft bearing and now awaiting for a weekend with good enough weather to do it.
Also finally got talked into getting a proper stereo, so that has now been ordered along with the fascia kit.
Hope I can get started on the work soon (y)
