nice car, best colour ;)

you not planning on spraying your wheels a darker colour?

No don't change them they look great as they are and the best standard style of alloy. I'm liking the color as well but that must be a ---- to keep clean, I think I will stay with my grey. Are you leather seats black with white piping as mine are black with silver/grey piping?

Cheers chaps, whats wrong with a diesel lol? You can get 180bhp odd with just a map, whereas with the t- jets you have 2 spend a fair amount to get those kind of figures, plus i bet your getting a lot more than 32mpg :).
Yer thinking about painting the wheels black and just lowering the rear by 15mm-20mm or so for the time being because i live out round the fields and farms the roads arent so flat and smooth, and the front of the car is a reasonable height for me really. Im also hoping to space the wheels out 15mm.
The plans are next week il book it in for a quick dyno run near me to see what power its running but in the mean time a parcel should be on its way ;). Il update when it arrives :D

Beans.

Bit of an update. Quick list of what iv fitted this week :)

  • Apiro Induction along with bracket and heat shield all of £35
  • "Xenon look" h4 headlight bulbs £6
  • Error free white led sidelight bulbs and rear no. plate bulbs £12
Car does feel a little pokier with the new induction fitted, but i must say the sound is awesome especially when letting off boost :D.
Also iv been on the look out for a vl36 turbo for a couple of weeks and couldnt locate one anywhere ;( I was flicking through ebay when I came across a vl38 turbo, so i got reading up about them and supposedly they are very similar to the vl36. So I thought seeing as though nobody has fitted one to a gp, Id go ahead and make an offer of £250. To my joy the guy has accepted so should be here within the next week or so :D

Pics Below, oh and iv included pic of the seats for hammer:

Your seats are slightly different from mine I don,t have the colored stripes through the middle and mine has piping round the edge instead of the stitching.
Did they have a face lift on the newer models?

Yer they probably upgraded the seats with the facelift, they look very similar to mine and I like the silver piping around the seats on yours.

Aww I really like leather! Wish mine was leather! I'm also jealous of your armrest too

Get it upgraded then ;) only problem with leather is they’re freezing to sit on first thing on a cold morning, better if they were heated like.

what bulbs are they? they look like actual xenons :p
i was just about to order a set of projectors but i might give those a try first

cheers

Ye try them, a fair bit cheaper than xenons, 100% legal and they come with 6 months guarantee, linkage - http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=280422471877&ssPageName=STRK:MEWNX:IT

Just ordered a set, hope the look as good as yours (y)
love your car by the way

Good good, cant go wrong for the money, thanks pal.

Yeah, I found a place to do my exhaust, just need the time to go get it done, getting fmic next month I hope.

Sounds good, getting my 2.5ich done at pipewerx, its only 15mins away from me: http://www.pipewerx.com/pw2_contact.html iv been told they are really good. Yes im just trying to save up abit untill I get all the work done, cheapest I found for Forge one was £340: http://www.carperformanceuk.co.uk/index.php?p=product&id=76477 abit cheaper than going direct to Forge themselves.

Really liking the car mate! (y)

How’s the induction kit?... does it suffer from heat soak at all?

Thank alot, iv been keeping an eye on your thread, yours looks really well, liking the red mirors, i may have to copy ;)
Well it made a noticable improvement when i fitted it, think the heat shield helps abit with the heat soak, thinking about investing in a GSR or Forge one though, hopefully one will pop up in the classifieds.

Thanks! :D I was considering changing my CDA unit to a twin cone with a heat shield just to experiment and see which was better, I have a sneaking suspicion that the twin cone would probably turn out to be the better. :chin:

Looking good beanz, bring it round so i can take a peak when you come see gti. id bring gti to you but it doesnt move very fast....... flinstones style :D

I wouldnt recommend going pipeworx, mate has one on his defender and has had nothing but hell with it and with them for after service!!!! although does sound amazing!
