Afternoon..

Just another update, since the last I have had 2.5" cat-back fitted with twin tip, had the bottom of the rear bumper painted black, mirrors painted red and 'abarth style' side stripes, see what you think:

And then finally got round to getting it mapped yesterday at PD tuning after reading some good reviews about them, Dave was the guy in charge and after telling him my mods and that it had already been remapped in the past he decided that it needed to have a standard map uploaded onto it to start from scratch.
So first of all he RR'd it to see what power it was running, it made 163bhp and 205 ftlb but the air/fuel mixture was terrible running too lean at some parts and too rich in others (n)
The standard map was then uploaded producing 150bhp and 180ftlb making sure everything was okay and then the mapping process began, tweaking the map and RR'ing it each time to get the most potential. A good while later and it was complete, hitting a 166bhp and 220ftlb of torque (y)
Looking at the graph it shows that mine doesnt peak as high as other T-jets but the power seems to increase much earlier in the rev range :)
Afterwards Dave explained to me that the next modification had to be an uprated intercooler and showed me a graph of a T-jet he had done with the same mods as mine with the intercooler installed, it showed the boost and torque holding for much longer, hitting over the 170bhp mark (y) He also said that it wont need to be mapped again for the intercooler luckily, so iv decided that is definately my next investment :D

does look swish, iv just had powerflow on mine with similar pipes, getting a vl36 after chrimbo and was toying with the idea of having the lower bit of the bumper vinyled to look like a diffuser after seing this im deffo having it done!!!! (if you dont mind lol) nice car!!! great job!

Alrite mate car looks good I've got exact same car, I've got the vl36 with forge intake and straight thru exhaust with a dv24 bov moddified to hold more boost and on ron 99 I made 180bhp and 234 ft-lb on standard intercooler maybe try a new recirc or bov

Cant remember the tailpipe size, il get the measuring stick out :) oh and news on the driveshaft - Northwest propshafts rang me up yesterday they said they can do me 1, but theyll have to make a complete new shaft, going to cost between £120 and £160, theyre shut till the new year so going to get it sorted as soon as they re-open, and il tell them that there maybe others interested in getting more done hopefully for some discount ;)

Thanks for the info, might look into getting one then

Car looks really great man :) we made the same bhp and I have a vl38. You planning to get the exhaust done as well at any point?

Gdgd, exhaust? Are you still running the standard cos theyre very restrictive, iv got 2.5" catback and it ran 220ftlb of torque, might look into more power though after the lows have been sorted ;)

Sorry I just read back and realised you had your exhaust done I dont know how I missed it. Yeah I am still on the standard exhaust lol I would of made a higher torque level if it was done back I just wanted to get the turbo on asap as Im starting my new job soon I wouldnt have time to get it done also want to find a decent exhaust place too. But lows sound good though :)
