Personally im not keen, needs lowering to pull off the wheels and need side skirts instead of the decals on the bottom side and what size wheels are they? They look tiny!

Edit: You also need to rehost the picture in the gallery instead of using photobucket or your thread will get closed

This ^

The 'decals' don't suit it in the slightest, apart from that. What other lovely things have you got planned for it?

Very nice car for a first one. :D

I understand its not everyones taste but i cannont aford to lower the car on my insurance as they see it as inproving the poformance sadly, and there 15 inch because i got them cheap and could not aford to buy any bigger and then buy 4 low profile tires aswell, and im looking into sideskirts but its starting to look chavy and i dont wont to go to far and regret it, thats why iv only done things i can change back in a day.

Can't go far wrong with a nice set of side skirts.

Just make sure they are colour coded to match the rest of the car, you could always get rid of the black side bump strips to make it look a little smarter.

It's the little things that make a really nice car. :D Attention to detail is everything I think.

As Dave said - Insurance company wouldn't really notice a 50mm drop ;)

personally i wouldn't get any bigger wheels then 15s 16s are okay but tyres can be expensive

other then that i agree with what everyone else says

cheers for the advice lads, after seeing your coments i think i will get rid of the decals on the side and on the rear window, and rawb i thought if the side stripes are removed it leaves screw holes on the outside of your car? or are they just stuck on? im sure this sounds stupid but as its my first car im not an expert by any means any advice and ideas on what to do next to my car are accepted with open arms! (also iv just orderd a new frount grill so it will be debadged at the frount and im going to debadge the back myself, does anyone know any tips for this? so i dont leave marks on my paint!) thanks in advance for replys, sorry about the paragraph ;p

Glad we have made you see sense, as for the debadging and de-bump stripping. I would recommend a heat gun (hairdryer) and a knife - cover it in a soft ish material first to avoid scratching the paintwork.

As for the side strips, I think they are just glued on... If anyone is to prove this? that'd be helpful for the op :D

i was just the same dont worry just stick around on hear you will learn what you want to

the side strips are just stuck on easily removed theres a guide in the guide section

can be a pain in the arse to get the sticky stuff off

front de badging is allways nice on mk2bs, on the back the letters can be removed but the badge cant unless you smooth it over and get it resprayed

just go nice and slow and don't force the badges enough heat it up with a hair dryer and they should come off okay then its some elbow grease to get the sticky stuff off

also be careful not to get your paint work to hot

and finally in my eyes a good wash polish and wax makes almost any car look sooo much better, theres a full car washing guide in the car care section which is brilliant and then i suggest using auto glym super resin polish to get a nice finish

Ok so i couldnt sleep after reading some coments knowing my car was outside looking chavy haha so i got up at 6am had a coffe and smoke and this is what iv got done so far,

1, de-badged the back
2, taken all the decals off except the one on the rear window(purly because im proud to have a punto and want it to say punto on my car)
3,washed, polished, waxed,
4,put a new sports grill on the frount, it looks the same as stock just without the badge,
5,clean inside ,vac, soap matts,
6, colour coded my wing mirrors with the blue colour of the car (still drying)
7, re-painted my brake calipers to black because i only put one coat on last weekend.
8, with help from a friend fit a after market alarm system and wired it up to my lights.

i will upload pics once my wing mirrors have dryed, im a little busy today with family and i work full time so ill upload more pics next weekend :)

let me know what you think and if anyone has anymore ideas!!
