Bought after a few months of watching the market and waiting for one to come up for sale north of birmingham!

Ended up travelling to northampton to pick it up.Had a few rattles and needs some servicing but all in all im very happy with it.

Got rid of the rattles today and did a coolant change with the help of levemircento, his car made me want a janspeed back box and lowering!

Im hoping to get a gsr soon, however i notice they dont have an oil breather pipe,do you need to put a filter on the end of the oil breather tube?

Also need to replace the seats as i believe they are from a seicento and im not a big fan of them, levemircentos standard ones were more to my liking.

List of mods to buy and fit include:

40mm or 36mm TB
P75 Cam
janspeed exhaust
supersprint manifold
abarth rear apron
lowering
either speedlines or bright orange steelies
full rally livery
chip(fitted today!)

Pictures to come!

This is my inspiration....

Went over a nasty pothole today and caused another rattle, sounds like a screw bouncing about behind the dash, very annoying!

think these would fit?

Thanks bludvl.
Been thinking about how to fix my door today. The metal door strap doesnt have a little pin in on the drivers side, instead it has a bolt running through it.The bolt catches on a screw holding the strap to the car and makes a horrible loud click when you open the door.

Leve and i had a look at it but couldnt work out how to fix it,ill get photos up later.

yes I kinda like that, certainly brightens it up

Not sure on your orange wheels, white ones will work on a silver car, or the originals with an orange stripe round them

Somebody who has a yellow cinq on the forum had some vw steel wheels fitted in white, 14" and I think they were off a passat, they looked the mutts

That picture is exactly how i want mine leve, but with either standard rims in white,or as you say, some passat steelies. Also i wouldnt have the big red square sticker, maybe a white one with a number on.

ive had a look at the mk3 4 stud passat wheels and there 14" 6J wide with a ET of 38 and pcd off 100 (so wobbly bolts to fit) but the biggest problem would be the centre bore is 1mm too small (57.1mm where as the fiat fitment is 58.1)

imo i wouldn't copy another car for its stickers as you rarely get it spot on, but i have got a link somewhere of the silver cinq somewhere

Just been out in the car for an hour or so.When trying to fix a rattle at 4.5k i took out a bolt from the heatshield which snapped in the hole.Leve fixed the rattle at 4.5k for me but the missing bolt on the heatshield seems to be causing a nasty rattle at about 900 rpm, usually just after startup.

Tried putting some plumbers mait inbetween the cat and the heatshield but made it alot worse so removed that, tried bending the bracket downwards to give it more room and that seems to have changed the pitch and volume of the rattle and its alot less noticeable now, going to play with it again when i have light.

Also had a good look at how the rear seats are removed(im wanting to strip the back out).Im not sure exactly what bolts to remove but ill put photos up.

My dials arent very well back lit,it seems someone has fitted a blue led kit rather badly(see photos).I found these leds left in packaging in the boot.Which one of these would be the speedo needle?

Cheers.

when you say bracket which one? if you mean the middle exhaust hanger which we spoke about then you want to bend the hanger [the one welded to exhaust pipe] UP and this will allow the pipe to sit slightly lower away from the sheild
