Uno 1994 Mk Uno 1.7D (Chalkboard Car MkII)

Introduction

As I've got something a little different from the average Fiat, I thought I'd post up some photos:

As suggested in the title, its painted in chalkboard paint, good fun, until it rains anyway!

Currently lowered, but I'm planning to put it back on standard springs.
No longer has white painted tyres... had to replace them and didn't get round to repainting!
I've always expected to go to the car in the morning and find others have added to it, but its not happened as of yet!

I have let a load of people down the pub loose at it with a box of chalk, lol.

It is good fun, but you soon run out of things to put on it... especially me, I'm not very artistic!

Mine's just filthy and people have added their pictures to it.

Dom

lol

I think more people would add to mine, but not many people carry chalk about in their pockets!

I have a chalkboard Classic Panda 4x4 too... ;)

Why not make abit of a chalk holder on the car, kinda like what they do with the leaflets in supermarkets in the plastic holders, but obviously your would have lids on. :slayer:

but im loving the chalk board idea, my mates bathroom is painted in chalkboard paint

Replaced the cambelt & tensioners today, and the alternator belt!

Think cambelt was overdue, looks like original belt, done just shy of 75k!

Got springs still to replace, and have already rebuilt rear brakes (for last MoT) and fitted new water pump. Also had 3 new tyres, and tracking & camber adjusted.

Been pretty expensive so far, hopefully its worth it!

Yeah that would be a good idea :)

and im gonna have to get myself to one of these meets never been to one before and id imagine its quite a good laugh. :D
Yeah, id love a rat look car and just paint it like this and take it to shows and meets just so people can draw all over it haha.
Where abouts are you? Anywhere near yorkshire?

Rat cars are great fun, and so many people love my car, but it has its downsides...

-There are always haters, often gobby chavy ones,
-rat cars are a target for police... They look like they are not well maintained.
-MoT stations are stricter, for previous reason,

Everyone assumes mine isn't looked after, actually it has had a lot spent:
-3 new tyres
-rear brake drums
-rear brake cylinders
-rear brake shoes
-1 custom copper brake pipe
-cambelt and bearings
-alternator belt
-water pump
-air filter

All in last 2-3 months. looks can be decieving...

Im not really that close to yorkshire but id come for a drive down if there was a big meet on, i live just outside blackpool so its a good trek to pretty much anywhere :(.
