Punto (Mk1) My Mk1 Project (Help?)

Introduction

Right, so I just bought my first car a couple of weeks back. It was cheap, looks good and passed an MOT with flying colours so i decided to buy it (66k miles). :p I am now trying to change this car in order to make it my own and need help as to what people think i should do to it. Here is a pic:

Already Planned changes:
- Polishing, buffing and cleaning the paintwork to restore the natural colour.
- Changing the front badge for a mk2 circular fiat badge because i think it looks better.
- The head unit has been changed for a new one which suits my needs
- I already plan to put some 6x9's in the parcel shelf.

Other than this i am welcome to all suggestions or comments of how i should change it. Oh bear in mind that im not made of money lol .

Colour code the bumpers, mirrors and door handles.
And de-tango the exterior lights. Should give you a nice base to continue :)

Alternatively, you could use blackener to make 'the bumpers, well, blacker ;)

Good luck mate :)

(Also good to trawl through other members threads to get some ideas!)

by de-tango u mean get smoked or plain indicators and repeaters????

Right so its been quite a while since i decided to post on this website (I forgot my password lol) and quite a lot has changed on my car.

New Pic:

The main change has been the new alloys which i got for a bargain (like 80 quid) refurbed to new/ Also as can be seen a lot of buffing and polishing has gone on to give my car an awesome look. Oh and a newer fiat badge to make it look more modern.

Inside, the head unit is in and the parcel shelf now contains 2 6x9 speakers whcih are awesome it has to be said.

Any tips for how people would change this car would be helpful in giving me ideas. also do u like it so far??

Id recomend going through the gallery to have a look at others to see if there is any mods you may like . Because ofc every1 is different mine is lowered 50 mil btw i do not reomend due to now having to change tyre profiles lol but windowtint is easy to fit or even just changing the speedo bulbs blue etc can make the car nicer :)or even change the gear knob or gators to go with the colour of your car but yours does look nice

I have had my Punto mk1 for a good few years now it's lowered and looks race prepped, c/c bumbers clear indicators and black back lights all work, I got a set of alloys out the scrappy (£150) and what a difference same 14" but much wider footprint, it's up on axel stands at the moment cause I've destroyed the subframe but next mod is an alpha 3 litre and running gear to be crammed in the back (bought the alpha for £500 non-runner) ???
Good thing I have a good mechanic and lots of spare time!!

You need to hook your rev counter feed wire to the blue wire in the loom coming out of the ECU box under the bonnet. There is only one solid blue wire so it isn't rocket science :). The other end of the wire goes to the end connector on left hand side of the bottom right plug in connector at back of instrument panel (looking at dash from inside car). I got hold of an old plug in connector, sprung it apart and removed one of the sprung metal inserts with a length of wire attached, stuck this into the connector plug on the car and then just joined my feed wire to this. Pretty simple
